I don't think it has already started, not even silently. Military forces to get rid of the immigrants? Hell, no. Here in Spain we've been dealing with immigrants for maybe decades, and still no military forces have intervened. They are just fugitives, no need to send military forces, the border police will be enough, at least knowing how the police is in my country (they are even more frightening than the military).

Looming? Probably it has been looming for years. However, humanity at large has changed considerably since the last two wars. Europe, United States and Japan, the biggest belligerent forces in those wars, are now at peace with each other, and these fugitives won't be what breaks said peace. Plus, if these three unite, there's no force in the world that can stand a chance, and everybody knows that.

I don't see any war happening in our era. Humanity has learnt from its mistakes. A military attack could happen, but at a much smaller scale than an actual war. Time will say who's right and who's wrong.

I totally agree, ISIS could possibly be single-handedly causing a World War III. Countries from all over are being attacked and trying to attack back at ISIS. But what makes a World War? Is it officially declared? Is there some certain amount of nations that has to be involved to be a World War? Or, like you said, does it just happen and people slowly start to call it a World War?

All the immigrants running to Belgium or Hungary (I forgot which... maybe both?) and other nations are pissing off the countries and causing threats to be made.

In my view, a large-scale war is possible at any moment. There are still too many barbaric nations who believe it is perfectly acceptable to torture, rule by decree (or worse, through a "Holy" Book) and amass wealth through pillaging rather than trade.
