When it comes to those Pokemon cards, a lot of people do a lot of different things. All the kids normally use them to play the game with their friends (kids don't really care about the value of those cards, they care about them looking cool) and the more adult fans use them for mostly collection (although some still plays the game). This asks the question, what do you normally do with them?

With me, I don't really play the game to be honest, but I do get those cards and add them all to a collection. I do like some of the designs on those cards, especially all the EX cards, I think they all are well done.

They kind of just sit there at this point. I haven't bought any in years, but the many cards I do have only serve as pieces of a collection now. I have some really fun ones too.

I used to collect pokemon cards but all of my cards got burned (which is another story) I haven't really started collecting them since. I lost the want to collect them after I lost my sets.

I still am collecting Pokémon cards. Just the collecting part, not playing the card game with someone. I don't buy booster packs that often but when I do, I get excited about ''what cards are inside the pack this time''. I used to trade some of my cards but now I prefer to collect the cards and keeping them all as a nice part of my collection.

The thing I like the most about the cards is their special design. Most of them are really beautiful! ~ It's a shame that they're pretty expensive these days..

TornadoMudkip : I am but the same way, I don't really buy the booster packs as much as any of the box set (the ones with either a figure or a Jumbo EX card) or the tin box, the reason I get those is because those are a whole lot more collectible, and those have a lot more booster packs in them, the only disadvantage is that they cost a little more, but hey, it's worth it.

IgorBird122 : I also have a preference for those box sets. Mainly because they have extra stuff inside for you and me to collect. The Unova Starter tins are a good example. A free EX card is also nice, my luck in booster packs isn't all that great. Yes I agree, they are a little more expensive but it's worth it. I also store other stuff than cards inside the gorgeous-designed tins.

I actually used to collect them in elementary school and maybe even the first year of middle school. I remember they were really popular in elementary school and kids would bring their cards and make offers to trade with others. I've never actually used my collection for battling or playing competitively, I just like the notion of collecting the cards of some of my favorite, or even rare pokemon. I mainly bought the EX tins when I felt like collecting. In total, I'd say I have about 20+ EX cards. There are tons more in the new card sets, but I haven't bothered investing in them.

One thing I'm certain of is that the older cards are worth a lot now, and will be forth even more a few years down the road. Even cards that aren't a shiny ultra mega rare legendary holo Charizard X are still worth a good amount of money. Nonetheless though, I'll probably just keep them. I doubt I'll do any more collecting though.

Well when my family used to have it we would keep stocking once we got new Pokémon cards. I dunno what has happened to them now since then. I think it is most likely that they have sold the cards. If they have, that's pretty sad since old school trading cards are not that easy to obtain anymore. :/
