This is by far the most difficult RPG I've ever played. When I first got started in the game I'm thinking so this is just a bunch of radicals trying to stop another form of pollution. Next thing I know I'm having to go after a maniac who is wanting to use the planet has a vessel and become a god. How did it go from fighting to stop pollution to having to save the world from a dude who thinks his mom is some sort of alien that looks like something straight out of a horror movie? Let me just say the biggest shock for me was finding out the sources for magic came straight from the life blood of the planet itself. I think the strangest thing in the game was finding out Cloud's memories were actually the memories of another guy named Zack. The most awesome thing in the game in my opinion were the summons my favorites were the Leviathan, the Phoenix, Bahamut, Neo Bahamut, and Zero Bahamut. Let me tell you I nearly failed every time trying get all of the ultimate weapons and final limit breaks it was stressful. I like some of the characters in the game like Barret who acts tough all the time when he is just hiding his soft side that only his daughter sees or Red XII who wants to become the next leader of his village I'm glad he found out the truth about his father in this game but hated at how difficult it was to do so I mean I died twenty times just to find out!!! The characters I hated were of course Rufus for starters I mean when they introduce him he finds out his father is killed and he is not the least bit sad about it if anything he seems a bit happy about it. Scarlet that "censor" just got on my everlasting nerve with her attitude I mean laughing all the time it's annoying. What I found to be complete bologna was Weapon and I mean all 3 if I did not miscount. I can understand their purpose in the game but when they first show them their in ice and they are aware of their surroundings that should be impossible if they were frozen in ice. The one that I hated the most was Ultimate Weapon or as I like to call him the Bahamut wannabe. I mean really the thing is just nearly unstoppable then you decide to make it look like one of the most famous summons in Final Fantasy history what gives. Not only that it's nearly impossible to find the thing so you can fight him and hopefully beat him and get Clouds ultimate weapon. The boss fight is the hardest one I have ever gone through I'm thinking to myself the whole time why won't you just die and stay dead you pain in the neck. All in all this is a really good game and I would recommend it to any one looking for a challenge.

Kenny : Final Fantasy 7 is a wonderful game! I'm very happy that they are making a remake of it on the PlayStation 4. Here is the URL for a Youtube video if you haven't seen it yet:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kznek1uNVsg

It was first viewed at this year's E3 if you didn't know. Anyways, about the PlayStation 1 version of Final Fantasy 7, have you defeated the ruby weapon in the desert? To me that was the hardest final monster weapon to defeat because it would just take out your members from the battle, so you can only fight with one character and then on top of that, it would cause abnormal statuses, like (I think) berserk, frog, and poison.
Also have you defeated the underwater weapon? That one has a one-hit-KO attack and has like five different attacking parts. If you want the hardest boss in the game though, I think it would be the ruby weapon in the desert. It is like a red monster machine in the middle of the desert by the Flying Saucer or Golden Saucer (I do not remember the name of the place in the desert that it is called, but I think you have an idea of what I am talking about). You find both these weapons on the world map or overworld map, so good luck with them.

Complex, I give you that, but difficult? The Weapons are almost impossible to kill, but once you acquire Knights of the Round you are invincible.

Anyway you review is OK. You give it details as to why you find the game difficult; you also talk about the good aspects of the game. However you should consider spacing out the text rather than clumping it. The usual structure is something like this

Graphics: 10/10
*Elaborate as to why graphics deserve this rating*

One thing I personally like is comparing the game you review with other from the series/from other consoles. This way players that might have played these other games will know what YOUR game is about.

By far, Final Fantasy 7 is my all time FAVORITE game, but not the hardest I've played.
I will admit, at times the game is extremely difficult, and I would have to go out of my way exclusively to level up to beat a boss to progress.

I'm actually surprised that this is the hardest RPG that you have played although I figure that you are still pretty young. I've personally experienced a lot of retro RPG's that are harder than this game, but to each their own.

As far as your review goes, I would encourage you to go into a little more detail regarding the game itself. This reads more like your thoughts on playing through the game, and less like an actual review.

Oh, my sweet, summer child.

This game may have its masochistic moments, but its challenge is nothing compared to Phantasy Star I or II (a game with only 3 bosses, weirdly enough, yet far more expansive than Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest), let alone some of the old, old, really old "PC" RPGs.

I will say, though, that while these are overall harder, FF7 does, in fact, take the cake as far as most ridiculously hard moments. I never quite did figure out all the Weapons, I got too impatient. The first time I played it, though, my impatience was my undoing. I used a GameShark and maxed out everyone's levels; well, apparently, Sephiroth's stats are increased by a ludicrous amount for every individual party member at level 99. Needless to say, I raged so hard, I didn't pick up the game again until 5 years later. Did it the right way, but still was too impatient to deal with all the Weapons. I mean, come on; 60 hours is WAY too long on a single non-New Game+ PSX RPG.

I was going to come here and criticize the "most difficult" part of the title but then I thought.... "Are RPG's actually that difficult?"

I've never thought an RPG was difficult. Not FF style ones at least. If you can't beat a boss then all you usually need to do is find better gear or grind out 2 or 3 levels until you get extra HP or defence or whatever that allows you to last longer in the fights. Not really "difficult".

Still, like people have said.... the extra bosses in FF7 definitely had their challenges.

Eh, decent review I guess.

I did a blind run of it and beat it fairly easily except for a couple grindy spots

Personally, I preferred Crisis Core more since the battle system was good and the backstory was just rather emotional..

It was a decent game
This review was okay I guess

FF7 Great game and I love your out look on it. I thought this was well written and as your first one I liked it. You'll make about 50/50 happy with a review no matter what you do. So keep doing your thing if you like writing reviews do it no matter the feed back.

This game is amazing one of my childhood games. Its not really a hard game to play. But about the weapon bosses? I've seen better days those bosses are really challangeable. So it depends if you can beat them or not. Sad to say I still haven't beaten them yet and I should have years ago. Maybe when I get the time to train and beat them one day. XD

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
