I personally would love to have something more challenging than just building something to be done on the server.


I've suggested either UHC PVP stuff or a Super Hostile CTM map. I think having something more difficult like that to do would be really fun. And having a whole group of people helping to accomplish the goal would be great. I don't get a lot out of building things so that doesn't do much for me (and which is why I haven't participated). That's just me though.

Just to back up what EM said, we'd be happy to help host. I've actually been looking more into it over the past few weeks, and I may know of a way to set something up with only a few days of prep (in greenerous, even). I'll do some more digging, but we can discuss that in geeo's thread.

I'd love to see the Video Game option win out, honestly. There's so much we could do with that, I'd be stoked to get a build in.

Also, we now know that OP's aren't allowed to use commands to help build. That's always good info to know before a competition, if only we knew last time lol. Probably would have built something different.

I thought that it would be neat to see an anime build contest of sorts, lots of projects can be done of Dragon ball alone. Maybe have them do something of their favorite anime, take a pic and explain what it is, and what its from just in case its not obvious.

I think the first competition will be anything goes, I think tha'td be a good way to jump start the Creative world. The competition after this next one will be Video Game themed since that's got the highest votes so far.

I might also consider making the competition require a video submission. I was thinking it'd be cool to do a stream where we watch and vote on the video submissions together, similar to the music competition results.

What if we found a night that works, and one of us OP's tours each build while streaming? This way, we can view every aspect of the build, and ensures voters will have a fully informed response.
