I am currently doing my very first review. Before we start, note that I have been playing games for 14 years (currently 18) and have played just about every genre out there and know what a quality game is. Now a game can look like crap but be very good. Now that is out of the way, lets get started...oh yeah. To keep spoilers away I will not talk about the story much. Here we go.


Graphics-7: The reason I rated the graphics a 7 was because it was made a few years ago and does not look like the best. However, it does not look like the worst either.

Sound-8: Just like the graphics the sound is pretty good but not great. The sound is actually better than the graphics. The spell sounds are awesome and combat sounds decent. The music is also very good.

Addictiveness-9: This game is very addicting for multiple reasons. One reason is because you have weapons and armor you can collect. The more of that same armor or weapon you collect, the more you can fuse them together to give you more stats. I found this exciting and fun. And there are a lot of side quests.

Story-10: This game has the coolest and deepest story I have seen in a long time. It starts off slow but picks up a little later down the road. This is where I stop because I want this review spoiler free.

Depth-10: This game has so much stuff you can do you will be playing hundreds of hours before you know it. There are tons of side quests, tons of armors and weapons to collect, tons of enemies to kill, quite a few dungeons, and a pretty unique leveling system. Getting to the max level will take you a while but do not let that stop you. Play the game long enough and you will be the max level in no time.

Overall-8: Overall I rated this game 8 out of 10. Great story, amazing depth and awesome music.

For a first review, I can certainly say you are off to a pretty good start. You provide solid reasons as to why you assigned the score you did to each category, and that alone is already a crucial step in writing game reviews. I would probably change the spacing up a bit though, so it looks more like this:

Graphics: 7

I rated the graphics a 7 because......


it's just a suggestion though. It's a style that many other users, and myself tend to use when writing reviews. It's simple, yet neat and effective in presenting your points. 


Overall, I think you have the main foundation for making reviews down, and from here you can build upon your skills and further improve the quality of your reviews as a whole. My advice is to elaborate a bit on your main points and perhaps go into a bit more detail with each category in order to add depth to your review. For a first try though, you are off to a good start. I truly believe that mastery of writing good reviews comes with how often you write them and utilize the feedback of others. Keep up the good work, and I hope to see more reviews from you in the future.

This is a good start but it can use some work. First off, don't try to put too much into a review that doesn't have to do with the review like your first paragraph. It's fine to do an intro, but it would have to relate directly to the game, not what you have done, all that does is add words yet doesn't talk about the game.

I like how you format the review but I agree with Razor on making a better style, for instance, in all of my reviews, I do

GRAPHICS 7/10 and then I skip a line before I talk about that section.

It's ok to put spoilers, just make sure you say that they are there, and try to make the review just a bit longer, the length is fine but adding more could make it more interesting.

For a first review you already master the structure very well. Keep it like that!

However, like my predecessors, I would suggest you go into much more detail so readers know what the game is about. You might also want to compare the game to others on the same/different consoles as to give a point of comparison to gamers.
