A game not meant for everyone, but one that every one has to try at least once. Long and slow-passed gameplay in the country side. The setup is simple: Your father makes you take the family farm, which is on a deplorable state, so you can see how adult life is. You start building your economy planting some crops and foraging on the mountains to make a profit, then go to buy chickens and cows to make more money. In a very sandbox style, you can spend the in game 3-years time until your parent come back to see what you have done as you like.

You can plant crops, take care of them and then ship them for profit. Animals are here too, you get your own dog to look after stray dogs and a horse to ride and make the job easier and faster. Buy livestock to make a profit from eggs and milk. Participate on annual events in town. And marry a girl and have a son! Impress a girl giving her favorite gifts.

Obviously, you get tired because of the work, but you can find 10 secret power berries that allows you to gain more stamina and last longer in job. Or go take a bath in the hot spring at the mountain for a recharge.

In general, Harvest moon is a relaxing game for who loves it, giving you the opportunity to take care of a farm while learning the ropes. This is the one that started the Harvest Moon series, becoming a must play if you love the newer games.

This review is OK, theres not much personality to it,  a lot of it is spent explaining the premise. Some talk about the graphics, any difficulties in play would be nice.

TheDiaz : This counts as a review, but you can do lots of improvements here. In a review, never spoil anything to the game. If you share just the beginning, it's fine, but don't share nothing else. You could have detailed a lot in each category, and convince viewers to try the game. Remember, the most important thing about a review is your opinion. Never plagiarize, and always be original when it comes to reviews. I wish you the best of luck! If you want more information, here's the great person to talk with, and I'll summon her right now.

I'll take that into consideration, thanks. I'll make sure my next review is better than this, even if I don't usually talk about graphics unless they are really awful xD

This is a bit of a weird series for me, I actually like the charm of the old-school graphics better than other HM where they went realistic. Compare these SNES cows to the Gamecube one below..
That pregnant cow on the SNES (bottom right) is as round as a blueberry! Adorable and hilarious.

That's true. For some reason, the graphics from the older Harvest Moon games are better. I believe they should stick to 2D sprites and 3D environments, like in HM64 and Back to Nature. Those were nice. I can't say that the DS HMs graphics are bad, though, but they needed more work.

I find this Review not bad at all for a first one. You have a good grammar! That really helps to understand the Review better.

You told the readers nice (and easy-to-understand) stuff about the story, but for a next time I recommend to tell the readers about other stuff too (like the graphics of the game, sounds etc. In other words - the things you have to rate before you can submit the Review).

Most of the Review contains facts. An important thing in a Review is your own opinion. Of course facts are important too. Try to tell the reader a fact and your opinion about it (example: You can marry a girl in this game. I really like this feature, it is unique compared to other games).

I recommend to read this Thread too - https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=58382 The Thread has lots of information about Reviewing. Perfect for a beginner I would say! ~

Keep it up with Reviewing! ~
