Time for a review made by The IB, the game I am reviewing is on Tomodachi Life. Tomodachi Life was released for the Nintendo 3DS on June 6th, 2014. If you are not familiar with Tomodachi Life, Tomodachi Life is a life simulation game where you can have your Miis live in your own private island. You can play and interact with your Miis, Like when you start the game, the first Mii that enters is your own Mii (Who he/she and everyone else calls you his/her “look-a-like” ). The first few moments of the game goes through like a tutorial (like adding a 2nd Mii, buying food, buying a interior, and buying clothes for your Mii), but then after the 2nd Mii, it’s basically, it’s on your own, but you can really catch on with the concept of adding Miis into the island, which their isn’t really a limit on how many you can add, you might as well add every famous person, and still have room to spare. You also have a lot of interesting items to unlock from cheep items to extremely expensive items (I’m looking at you Golden room). But yeah, it’s basically a Life simulator, but it’s also a fun and entertaining game at the same time, I think you’ll like it. Ok, with the intro out of the way, onto the review

 -----------

Graphics..

The Graphics of Tomodachi Life are pretty ok, well, I think they really want to fit it in with your Miis, so that’s why they made those kinds of graphics, although the character sprite that does come from Nintendo’s 3DS handheld (plus the Wii and Wii U consoles), so I don’t think the 3D sprites will have much of any affect in the rating of the Graphics, but as for everything else like the setting of the island, I think they did a really good job on the island, and I played it through 3 seasons (Summer, Fall, and Winter) and they really go with the seasons which is quite amazing feature, like when it’s winter in real life, it’s winter on Tomodachi Life which is nice, and the way the environment of the island is also neat, they made a lot of detail with each and every part of the island like the trees, grass, water, buildings, and a bunch of other interesting structures that are on the island. If you also look at all the items and foods in the game, they all exactly look like that in real life and I think that is highly detailed for the 3DS, although when you play Tomodachi Quest (which is a minigame in the game), sure the items are zoomed in and in low quality, but after all, it’s an in game arcade, so this is really bring the gimmick of having an old arcade style game in this game that you are playing. So that is all for the graphic side of Tomodachi Life, time to give it a score now.

For the graphics, I’m going to give this a score of a 9 out of 10, the graphics are pretty outstanding and I think every part of the game is highly detailed, but there is a couple of flaws within the game that I personally think it could be fixed up, but I really don’t think it’s too much of a big deal though, I still love the 3D graphics of Tomodachi Life.

 -----------

Sound/Music..

For the sound effects, it is really half and half with this one, some sound effects are great while other sound effects seem a little odd. Like mostly the voices are like a preset voice that is used in the game in 6 different age/gender group, child male, child female, adult male, adult female, senior male, and senior female, but you can change the different settings with the voice like changing the tone, the deepness, the speed and etc. to match your preference, if you’re creating a celebrity, it can be a little hard to get his or her voice spot on (Unless Nintendo uses the mic to capture the voice and try to match up where it stands. As for the other sound effects in the game, I think they all seem pretty alright in the game, some of them are off, but nothing too bad really.

As for the music, for some strange reason, I like some of the music on this game, don’t get me wrong, they just sound a little amusing, and there is an event in this game where you can sing, and personally, I have never really got to doing it, but I’ve watched Vinny from Vinesause do one of these musicals in Tomodachi and I think in a way, it is really interesting on how the music is played, although the voices in the game seem to have a huge impact, but it’s really on how the person does it though, so it can changed depending on the person’s taste, so I think the music of the game is quite interesting, I have to give it that.

As for the Sound and Music, I have to give it an 8 out of 10, the sound effects wasn’t really the best in this game, but as for the music, it does make up for the score though because I think the music itself is quite fantastic to my knowledge.

 -----------

Addiction Level..

I think that both this and the Depth are the two big players in Tomodachi Life, but let’s get to the Addiction Level first. Despite the ok Sound and all, I think with my point of view what makes this game so addicting is the ever so changing story, like you want to see on what’s going on in your world because things can be good going on or not so good going on, because it is highly unpredictable, and that to my point of view is why Tomodachi Life is extremely addicting to my point of view.

So, for the Addiction Level, I have to give it a perfect 10 out of 10, I think to my point of view, it is a popular life simulation game that Nintendo has came up with and released on their consoles / handhelds since Sims on the Super Nintendo and that’s been 20 years ago

 -----------

The Storyline..

As for the story, there really isn’t any storyline in the game, like I said, this game is more of a life simulation. How the world reacts can change dramatically even within a day like a couple one day ends up loving each other and the next day, they both end up fighting. So, in the world of Tomodachi, it is highly unpredictable, like there is a saying, “What goes on your private island stays on your private island”. So, on with the story, they really isn’t a story in this game, but with the way the game function, the whole game (as of playing it) could be a story as well (Without the cut scenes, although they are a couple in the game, but you will occasionally run into them when something major happens).

So, with that said, I will give Tomodachi Life a 6 out of 10, there isn't much of a traditional storyline in this game other than being a Life Simulation game. But I don’t think even a story is needed in this game because this game is great enough without a story.

 -----------

Depth..

Just like I mentioned in the Addiction Level, the Depth of this game is also the best part of the game because if you look at it, there is so much to do in the world of Tomodachi and so many different combinations in the game which can vary oh what your Mii wants to do with their life which can be changed by your fate in the island. I think also what makes this game pretty awesome, you can customize your Mii anyway you want in this game, no matter on how crazy you make your Mii, and you can give your Mii an interesting room to live in and a bunch of other things all depending on your personally role in the game, they might have one interested in one thing and another Mii with a different personally might have another interest, even your own Mii might have a different interest than you have in real life (at least in my point, regarding food, most of it is the other side of the liking), but as for everything else, it’s about the same though. Plus also I could add on here, you don’t really have a limit on how many Miis you can add into the game, so you can add famous people, cartoon characters, sport athletes, music artists, just some random Miis, and just to name a few, you have like an unlimited about of fun in this game and there is a saying “The more, the merrier” and that quote really goes in affect with this game, the more Miis you have on the island, the more fun and entertaining the island can in fact become. So nothing more else to say regarding the Depth of the game other than it has a lot of content to unlock and I have played this game since August and I still haven’t unlocked everything and I have been playing this game frequently (Well, up until I started play Pokemon ORAS and Super Smash Bros.), that tells you that there is a lot of content in this game.

With that said, for the Depth, I easily have to give it a perfect 10 out of 10, because like in life, Tomodachi Life has a whole lot of interesting things you can get by really unlocking those items, it’s basically like saying in real life, if you wanted something but it isn’t being sold yet, it’s basically something like that, you need to wait a little bit of time for it to be unlock and it all can happen randomly, but that is also what makes this game really neat as well. That’s why it’s a 10.

 -----------

Difficulty / Gameplay..

As for the Difficulty, it is not hard at all. It’s a very easy game, because you have played Sims right, well, this game is basically like the Sims, but it’s using your Mii characters, sure, I know some of the Miis have a mind of their own which no one really can’t blame, but once you manage to keep your Miis happy, that all that matters, sometimes, it’s really easy to do, but they have been a couple of times where it’s been a little difficult to have them happy because they’re either angry (after they had a fight with another Mii) or sad, and you need to do as much as you can to make sure that they become happy once again, and if they are happy, you are happy. Also, you have a couple minigames you can play with your Miis, some I have never lost and others I barely win at all, and you can’t really tell on what you are playing until you start playing it which can throw your mindset, but once you do, it will be worth it with a prize.

As for the Gameplay, there really isn’t much of any gameplay in the games as of what I know, the only thing you can really use the controls for is in some of the dreams, in the minigames and maybe a few other things as well like to look around, selecting some of the things you want to give your Mii and a few other stuff as well. But other than those few things I mentioned in here, nothing really much else regarding the gameplay of Tomodachi Life, Little gameplay to do, but a whole lot of content to experience with, so those cancel each other out though.

As for the Difficulty and the Gameplay, I have to give it a 5 out of 10. The game is a pretty decent difficulty, it’s not really hard at all, but the game isn’t too easy to play because of the things I mentioned like interests and moods, but that’s mostly it and they really isn’t a whole lot of gameplay associated with thing game, which as long you can still do on what you need to do, gameplay wouldn’t matter as long it gets done.

 -----------

Overall..

Overall, I got to say, this really my most favorite 3DS or Nintendo game out there, but it is in the top 5 3DS games and top 10 Nintendo games. I think with the matter that this game has so much Addiction and Depth in this game which I think to my point of view really made this game get a decent high score, but the Story and Difficulty & Gameplay kind of bombed it a tiny bit but not a whole lot though, but with both things being a low score, I don't think it's too damaging to the game at all. I also think both the Graphics and the Sound & Music to my point of view were pretty decent for the game, it is at a pretty decent score. But other than those scores, to my personal standpoint, I think this is a really fun game to play and you should try it out yourselves.

For the final score I have to give this game a 9 out of 10, this is a really great game when it comes to doing a whole lot of interesting things like all the items, food stuff you can buy for your Mii and all the activities that keep you stuck on this game, that is really why I have went ahead and give this game a 9. Everything is alright, but the Addiction Level and the Depths of this game is the one that really takes the cake though.

Well, that's the review on Tomodachi Life, I hope you enjoy this fun and entertaining game
