Hello there! I hope I am not re-creating a thread that has already been posted. I also hope I am putting this in the correct place. And you're damn right I am typing this entire post in Comic Sans.

Now, onto the business part of the thread.
I realize that David and the Vizzed team are constantly trying to update the database with as many games as is physically possible. While I am sure that myself and the rest of the folks who signed up here very much appreciate that (you better goshdarn appreciate that), I am curious as to when we might see some GameCube games. Is this something that is on the list for expansion in the (possibly near) future? While SNES, PS, GB(C/A), N64, were all a huge part of my childhood, GC has a ****ton of games that hold incredible memories for me as well and as of late I have not be able to quell the urge to play them. It is getting to the point where I may very well go out and purchase an old system.
SO, is there any hope?

There have been many questions about regarding to adding Gamecube games, Nintendo DS games, and others for the Vizzed retro game room. First of all, Gamecube games and Nintendo DS games take up a lot of memory which means the majority of the Vizzed community cannot play these games and not everyone has great high tech computers. I can't even play Playstation 1 games. Gamecube games will slow down the servers on Vizzed and that won't help us at all unless the owner gets some sort of huge donation consistently. Don't hope for Gamecube games or other big retro games that aren't on Vizzed yet until 5-10 years from now on.

You're better off with buying a Gamecube and its games. I,myself, is still searching for some Gamecube games right now.

ghostfishy : You really can't play PS1 games? I have a pretty s***e computer and they work for me, the loading is just a bit slow and you need to purchase the add-on with Viz in order for them to work. It costs a $25 donation unless you want to take the time to earn it all up via comments/subbing on Youtube and whatnot.

You can always download the games and an emulator and play in on your computer.

Creepy McSteezerson : There are several reasons why Gamecube games can't be added.

1. Legal reasons. Nintendo is still pretty protective of these titles.

2. Storage and bandwidth costs.

3. Emulation for these aren't that great currently and 90% of the users on this site have a hard enough time playing N64 and psOne games. Not only that there has to be an emulator that not only works well, but is also OPEN SOURCE so we can use it as a part of the RGR plugin.

4. The cost of development to update the RGR plugin to use these emulators and games.

In the meantime the best way to get content added to this site is for people to donate $$ to the site. If we don't have money, then we can't spend money for added features.

Since these types of questions have been asked a million times, I'm going to go ahead and close this thread.
