trouble with NO$GBA

I downloaded desmume and started playing DS games about a week ago, but I found that it just runs too slow for me. I read a lot about NO$GBA  being the best DS emulator so I decided to try it. It actually does run much better, until I try to play the game. Most games load to the title screen without difficulty but stop working when I press "new game" and some games wont load at all. I'm new to offline emulation so I'm pretty clueless and any advice or instruction would be great. I can provide computer specs if needed.

EDIT: for some reason it decided to start working. There are still a few roms that wont load though, those being either of the kingdom hearts games, harvest moon tale of two towns, Pokémon black and Mario and Luigi browsers inside story.

I'll need to ask a few questions before I can answer your question.

Would you mind listing the names of the games you are attempting to load?

And just to make sure are you using the latest version of NO$GBA?

It may not be required but just to be safe it would be better to post your computer specs.

The games I'm trying to load are kingdom hearts re coded, kingdom hearts 358/2 days, harvest moon tale of two towns, Pokémon black version and Mario and Luigi browsers inside story. Games that seem to be working are the ace attorney games, fire emblem black dragon and Pokémon platinum version. Though with some graphical errors. I'm pretty sure I'm running the latest version, 2.6a. And I'm on a Toshiba satellite running windows 7 with 2.6 gb of usable ram, an AMD C-50 duel core prossecor running at 1.00 GHz, and I have no idea how to figure out what graphics card I have.

Firstly I should have asked but make sure your "NDS Backup Cartridge Media" option is set to "FLASH 512KBytes".

Second I would suggest getting NO$Zoomer as it will help performance issues as well as run games better. It will also allow the play ability of certain games.

If this doesn't solve your problem let me know. It may be another issue. Or you could also try the 2.7 version of NO$Gba. However 2.6a is the most common.

Blubcreator : again, sorry for taking so long to get back. The zoomer is an improvement and some games that wouldn't play are now running, but its still really slow and choppy. I'm starting to think that my hardware just isn't cut out for the job.
