THE GAME FREEZES EVERY TIME I BATTLE THE AXEM RANGERS WHEN THEY DO THE BREAKER BEAM ATTACK. PLEASE FIX THIS SO I CAN FINALLY BEAT THE GAME ITS BEEN YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, just try reinstalling the Retro Game Room plugin. If that didn't work, then it might just be your computer. Try using a different emulator on the site. If that doesn't work, then I can't help you.

This actually isn't a fault with his plugin download or computer. This game is notorious for freezing and crashing. And while I don't know how to fix it myself, I know some people have found ways around it. If you look on the game's page, down toward the bottom there's a section for threads made about the game. Among them there's at least one thread that claims to have the answer to this question.

If those threads don't help, let me know. I know a streamer (metaldragon146 on Hitbox) who beat this game on stream in the RGR, so he should be able to help. I could ask him.

vicario62590 : I can help you. If you aren't already aware, you should first load Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars using PAL. Here's how to do this:

1) Play Game
2) Pres ESC (Using the SNES emulator with save state and Esc options/purple screen)
3) Select Super Mario RPG from the list of games downloaded to your plugin folder (Black box with games in a list)
4) Put a checkmark in the PAL box (Toward the bottom right corner)
5) Load Game
6) Load Save State or Save File

This is the only method I'm aware of that can help fix freezing issues with this game. It's notorious for freezing when played through this plugin but by using PAL, the game slows down to a max of 50 frames/second. This allows you to access your equipment without fear of freezing and a number of boss fights are less likely to freeze. I had several instances where my game froze in Moleville Mines during the MineCart mini-game. I recommend you use the method, described above, to fix this. If it doesn't work, try to continue to load the game a few times and the freezing may stop long enough to get through this fight.

It's very odd that the game played through the plugin will freeze but if you download and play the game from the emulator on your computer, play it on your computer and not through the browser, you won't experience the same issues. I suspect this is an issue with the chosen emulator and for whatever reason, it's faulty. Nobody on Vizzed has the power to resolve a broken emulator and we're sorry for that but please keep in mind, there's tens of thousands of games that could have issues and it's impossible for any staff to find a solution for all tens of thousands of games or fix them.
