Ever since I was a little kid I played SNES, yeah a 14 year old that was a little kid from the new millenium plays an old console and guess what?! I LOVED IT!
I just couldn't stop playing the three games I had with me during those years, the first three games I played where Aladdin, Super Mario World, and Ultimate Mortal Kombat.
OH YEAH A LITTLE KID PLAYING UMK3!
Today's equivalent would be a little kid playing a shooter.
Ever since that day I wanted to get more!
So during my years of playing I started to think...
Me: Hey If I am going to buy a game for this system is going to cost like 60 bucks...
Me: I wonder if there is a way to get at least 35 games or more so for 60 bucks, I mean that's a good deal!
Then after that day I turned by head back and by that I mean I looked back into the previous consoles of the modern ones and I knew that in my heart they had potential...
Sure they are gone, but they are still there ready to be revisited...
So what does this thinking of mine mean?
Well I believe that retro collection gets you further than collecting of new things and thus it saves you money...
Well if you know what you are doing yes and that opened the gates for me...
To retro collecting!
So in this thread I will post pictures of my current and growing collection!
This means there will be lot of retro stuff!
What kind of retro stuff you may ask, if I am not being specific?
Well I collect...
Video games, computers, video game consoles, video game accessories, computer parts, video game parts, and more!
As my collection grows I might have to live with a house with an attic or a big house.
So yeah...
Oh and for this thread not only will I be posting pictures of my stuff!
I will be posting how I got them, where I got them, what I think about them, and other aspects I can't or I am lazy to think of...
Anyways today's item of my collection is a really old computer me and my parents found in a dumpster. It was actually a lucky find. It was like yesterday I was busy on my computer when suddenly my parents called me and gave me news that my dad saw some lady throw out a computer. So just to see if it was worth it we went and got it and it turns out that not only the lady threw out the desktop she also threw out a monitor, scanner, and keyboard. "It must been in a garage for an eternity" Said my dad in Spanish as we go back home to test out the computer. Well turns out it works, but I didn't get far on seeing if it works well. That wasn't until days later when I found that the two hard drives it has are dead. I tested the computer without the hard drives and saw that it was an Energy Star brand computer running on the original Intel processor. Speaking of specs I am thinking that that computer has 2 RAM cards and other really neat things that make a computer beast. Also it might be possible that the computer might had Windows 95 installed since the keyboard has the old Windows logo used for 95. To further prove this the Boot-Up shows that the computer is from 95 so it has Windows 95 it just doesn't work for me. So in conclusion it works and it needs some maintenance and fixing, and also like they say "one man's trash one man's treasure" or in this case... One woman's trash one man's treasure" since a lady threw it out... OK THAT DIDN'T WORK! Anyways as soon as I get more news about my computer I will post more pictures of it.
Please reply to see more of my collection
