and...huh? thats odd, theres only 1 of the 2 sonic 3 & knuckles mlp hacks here. theres also a fluttershy version floating around somewhere (could probably find it with google or i could upload my copy of the patch somewhere).

theres also the megaman, er...mega mare games but i don't think those were hacks. heres hoping the mega mare X game doesn't turn out so stupidly difficult that even veterans of those games would have a hard time beating them. that really narrows down the potential player numbers when its so hard that hardly anyone can beat the game.

i wonder how good a gunstar heroes mlp hack would be. i'm not sure how the different villains might fit as bosses. well, replacing gunstar green with a shadowbolt would work but i'm not sure about the others. oo no, not a shadowbolt but rather a changeling (disguised as a shadowbolt or something? i dunno) so as to take advantage of seven force.

base weapons:

force - small energy bolts matching the color of the caster (i'm assuming you were planning on the characters being unicorns) magic aura (the glow around the horn when using magic)

lightning - see lightning + lightning

chaser - parasprite

fire - fire spell? i don't see much of a way to change this one really.

combos (you probably wouldn't have to vary from the original weapons too much):

force + force - larger energy bolts?

force + lightning - a steady stream of energy (color wise, matching the energy bolts)?

force + chaser - smaller, perhaps faster moving, parasprite with slight homing

force + fire - fireballs?

lighning + lightning - hmmm...if possible, maybe simply have lightning look a bit more like actual lightning rather than a laser while maintaining both variations?

lightning + chaser - same as the normal lightning chaser (electrified parasprites as a cosmetic effect?). just fire off a small group of parasprites that would lock onto and sit on a target for constant damage.

lightning + fire - uh...don't remember what this weapon combo does.

chaser + chaser - perhaps in the same way as the normal combo becomes bigger stars, this could simply be bigger parasprites.

chaser + fire - flaming parasprites? i don't remember how this combo worked right offhand.

fire + fire - larger version of the base attack?

its been a while since i last played the game so thats why i didn't comment on everything, just most. heres a thought, perhaps there could be 3 versions of the hack. version 1: unicorns using the above attacks. version 2: pegasai somehow able to fire feathers or something that could work out like the unicorn attacks. and version 3: a pure melee version with earth ponies (stand on 2 legs using only the melee attacks but taking a bit less damage due to them being more...physically resilient than unicorns or pegasai?

uh, member list? if you mean for something like a group for romhacking then, i've never actually taken part in actual romhacking before so i don't know what help i'd be. don't know anything about programming, not an artist...i guess i could test things out and make sure things are working properly, that probably wouldn't be too hard.

Frodlex : i guess so but i really don't know anything about rom hacking. i suppose if someone made an editor program for things like music, art, or text, i could tinker with that. only thing i've ever figured out how to do (and i'm not sure how much it'd count for) is how take take a rom, a hex editor, and game genie/action replay codes and change a few things in the rom data so you could do things like infinite hp/mp/etc. without the actual codes needing to be used. i haven't done that in a while either though since most emulators have such cheat devices built in or cheat engine would work (this options results can vary widely from game to game sometimes >.>).

and on that note, i just remembered that i've never been able to get ANY cheats to work with that wizardry 3-in-1 game for snes.
