I watched Brooklyn Nine Nine last night for the first time ever and I was shocked at how awesome it is. I have known about the show ever since it was first announced a long time ago but I avoided the show because I thought it was bad but now I can't get enough of it.

Even the rate of how much I love the show escalated quickly. When the show first turned on after the SImpsons last night, I was going to change the channel but was too lazy, so I multitasked during the 1st scene. Apparently, I liked that scene, so for the 2nd scene I stopped multitasking to watch the scene. When the 3rd scene started, I put away the things that I was multitasking and put my full attention on the show and by the time the first comercial aired, I was in complete awe of the show.

I only saw one episode, so I don't know much about the show, but I plan to start a full marathon from the beginning and baske in it's awesomeness. What are your thoughts on the show? Who are your favorite characters and episodes?

Also, at the start, I was really mad that the show had been moved to Animation Domination, but I no longer care about that since it's show awesome.

zanderlex : it sounds like a really great show , if you like it it must be good its funny how somthin you avoid can be the best thing in the world

I accidentally watched an episode just like you did. Once the crowd of misbehaving children began to protest "Black people CAN sell drugs!" I knew it was going to be an interesting show. Now it's one of my favorites.

Thebiguglyalien : I don't think I saw that episode, but I can kind of imagine that happening and i can't help but laugh at it. How many episodes have you seen so far?

zanderlex : I've seen every episode. The one in question (the first one I saw) was the third episode if I recall correctly. After I saw it, I made sure to watch every new episode every week. I managed to catch episodes one and two on reruns.

And for some context, Santiago was put in charge of a group of delinquent children as the precinct was doing some project to try to turn their lives around. Santiago was trying to set up an example of a "bad kid" and did the voice of a drug dealer. One of the kids asked "Why does the drug dealer sound like a black guy?" She replies "What? No! Black people don't sell drugs." Then one of the kids says "We have a black president. Why can't black people sell drugs?" Then all of the kids (and possibly Gina, I can't remember for sure) start chanting "Black people can sell drugs!"

Thebiguglyalien : I am nowhere near seeing all of the episodes, I still have a lot to catch up with. I saw about half of the episodes in season 1 and I still have a few episodes left in season 2 to watch, I did watch the most recent one I believe, with the stakeout? Was that the last one?

zanderlex : One more has aired since the one with the stakeout. A couple days ago I watched an episode where they had a party at a beach house.

Thebiguglyalien : oh, then I need to really catch up, must get onto Hulu as early as I can.

My husband actually loves the show and has been watching it pretty much since it came out.  The newest one we've seen is also the one with the party at the beach house.

Singelli : I think you might have been the first person I ever talked to about this show once I started watching it. I think you telling me about your husband watching it was one of the reasons I kept watching it after that first episode that I saw.

If I had the money, I would love to get some kind of a DVD if they have one because I would much rather be able to catch up on missed episodes while also owning the show instead of having to watch them with my sometimes terrible internet.

What a great site!

I think it's an excellent show! Great cast that have great characters. I've always liked Andy Samberg's humour and this is definitely no exception. I'm glad to hear its going for a third season and hope it goes for more!

joebab : I only heard of Sanberg until I saw this show, I never saw a single movie or show with him in it until now but I think he's awesome just from watching thing this.
