Hello there, this is giveemagobfull here, reviewing a hack of Super Mario Bros called Mario Jump.

Graphics: 5.. The graphics are just the same as Super Mario Bros, Mario just looks a bit different.

Sound: 5 again.. The sound is the same as well, just with a few pitch shifts here and there.

Addictiveness: 4.. The game is way too easy, seeing as Mario jumps so high, making the re-playability go down by a lot.

Story: 3.. The same as Super Mario... No plot about Mario getting spring shoes... No plot about the Mushroom Kingdom flying into space, making everything floaty....

Depth: 3.. As I said above, the game is way too easy, making it shorter to complete.

Difficulty: 2.. Because of how Mario (or random high-jumper) jumps too high, it makes it WAY too easy.

Overall: 4.5.. Overall, Mario Jump is too easy too complete, so in short, play this game for fun, not for the extremely overused story.

This is a very short review, and not good at all. You did describe your ratings, but very minutely, and you barely made the 100 word requirement. I think you need a lot of work. Sorry, but this is not a good review. 

I agree with thing, but i must commend you for at least dividing up the review into categories, albeit with little detail. There are many newbs that put no work into their review, and don't even try to format. It's not a good review, but i know you can get better if you keep making reviews.

i would say this is a decent FIRST review although it's still pretty bad in terms of word count and format. you only put on one line for each thing and in return it makes it look lazy. but i wont blame you TOO much, i had a bad first review to.

This is a very short and generic game review. You should also mention more about the game itself instead of talking about its ability. There are people who haven't played Super Mario Bros. and they probably would like to know how the game is and the differences between the original the hack. Reviewers need to capture one's attention and help one out if they want to try something out while in this case, are you believable enough to convince people to play this game or not based on your opinion?

Don't get discouraged though. I've also seen similar reviews just like yours but they improve later in the future. Don't give up and you should try again!  

I have played this game once, and it was entertaining to me for a short amount of time, so I will agree with you. As for the review, it's very short and could use a lot of work, but I see this is just your first post, so it's actually a very good start.

As for making it better, you can try adding more detail to each category as a way to make the review longer and then it's going to be much better, but for now it's a good start. I hope you write another review in the future and you make it even better than this one.
