Slythion, I am almost exactly like you. It's like the expression, "Jack of all trades, master of none".
I got semi-serious into: Guitar, piano, harmonica, accordion, knife throwing, darts, kendama, music composition, stunt kite flying, body-building, chess, mnemonics, reading classics, slight of hand, Latin, writing, dance, Linux, video games, astrology, snowboarding, running, anime and the list goes on. I didn't simply do a little of them... often I would spend money on them and 'take it seriously' for several weeks or months. Then eventually I put it on the back-burner and only do it once in a while. I am above beginner lever at all of those things, but I can't get "into" any of them like most people can for an extended period of time. I'll pick them up few days or weeks here and there but I don't have the time or energy to do them all.
I wish I could really get INTO one of those things, and it be my 'thing'... I never can. I finally realized, there's nothing wrong with being a Jack of All Trades, it makes you very interesting and flexible; but if I want to change, only I can do that. So I'm now focusing on a few of those things, music specifically. The other things, I do simply for fun when I have extra time, but I don't try to make them my 'thing' anymore.
I don't think you have "too much" motivation, I just think you are easily interested in anything and easily has ambition for them, and then lack the energy and motivation to do them all. Maybe a little focus and control over your life is what you need? Like me. Slythion, I am almost exactly like you. It's like the expression, "Jack of all trades, master of none".
