This is my review for the great game - Kirby's Adventure! This game is a total classic and deserves every good rating it gets.
Graphics: 9 The graphics in this game are extremely impressive. They surpass basic and even good and great standards. All animation feels fluent and the characters, background, etc. Are all detailed. There is a 3 dimensional feel to the game that makes it more realistic. While this is the worst rating in the game you have to remember Castlevania, which had better graphics than some SNES games. And remember, It's still a 9, right?
Sound: 10. The music is absolutely outstanding. Many games take an epic approach or maybe an action packed one when it came to music. Kirby on the other hand, took things to the next level. They kept some epic music but had more of an upbeat feel to most of the game. All the other songs were slow, calming and soft, but still maintained setting the standard, which is quite remarkable.
Addictiveness: 10. I am incredibly proud of how this game was built. This game has an extremely high replay value. The game play was outstanding. Yes,it is a platformer but a great platformer nonetheless. It is full of fun minigames, minibosses, great levels, and a great load of fun.
Story: 10. The premise of the game is nothing any of us would expect. King Dedede has stolen the Dream Rod, an item that gives everyone in Dreamland dreams. While pretty much everyone thought that Dedede was using it for his own advantage, he actually takes it from Nightmare an evil overlord who generates nightmares. So Dedede thinks: either bad dreams or none and decides to take the Dream Rod, break it to pieces and give those pieces to his 7 friends: Whispy Woods a tree with a face, Paint Roller a painter on roller skates, Mr. Bright a sun with a face, Mr. Shine a moon with a face ( Mr. Bright and Mr. Shine work together.), Kracko a spiked cloud with an eye, Digger Mole a digging robot, and Meta Knight the greatest knight who ever lived. So a great story indeed.
Depth: 10. This game has a ton of different things to offer. There are great surprises, extras topping of tons of fun levels bosses and more! Aside from that this was one of the few NES games to support saving. The Famicom might have done that, but it is very uncommon for an NES platformer to have save files. All these great features to go through and then to top it off an epic finale with Nightmare. A true icing on the cake. A great big sweet cake.
Difficulty: 2. The difficulty really isn't a rating that says whether or not a game is good or bad. This game is a perfect example of that. It was intended to be this easy making the game great. There was a time when I was horrible at games and Kirby was my first resort so this franchise was really some help for me. This is my first Kirby game so it is really special to me.
So overall there are a lot of good things about Kirby's Adventure so I think that because of every single thing they did in this fantastic game it deserves a great big 9.9!
