Overall - 9.3:
Frappy SNES is a clone of Flappy Bird for the SNES. If you don't know what Flappy Bird is, it is a mobile game where you flap a bird to go through pipes. Though it is fairly simple, it caused a ton of uproar and popularity, causing the creator to remove it from the app store permanently because it "ruined his simple life". Anyways, this clone is actually fairly good, but it has a lot of haters (If you don't know what I mean, look at the descriptions of the high scores.), and I am here to show you why.
Graphics - 10:
The graphics are a nostalgic mix of Flappy Bird and Nintendo. Instead of a bird, you flap a SNES with wings (Wait, WHAT?), and the background has Nintendo consoles instead of buildings. There is also a SNES logo on the left side of the screen, and you get NES cartridges instead of medals.
Sound - 9:
This game has awesome sound effects. The jump sound is the one from the original Super Mario Bros, bringing back so many memories. The death sounds kind of like a 'boom', and then the Game Over screen comes in with a 'boing' sound. There is also some awesome title music.
Addictiveness - 10:
Ah, yes. I could spend hours on end playing this game (But I won't, because I have other things to do.). The simple gameplay and raging difficulty are 2 signs that could make an addictive game.
Story - N/A:
This game has no story. It is just simply a game where you make an SNES fly to go through pipes. Simple enough.
Depth - 6:
For a game that has this much attention, you would think that it was a huge game with a deep storyline... It's not. The game is simple. You flap a SNES to go through an infinite amount of pipes. Yeah... It's that simple. In fact, a Flappy Bird clone only takes a few hours to make.
Difficulty - 10:
This is where most of the anger / hate for this game comes from. The game is so difficult. People say they hate this game, but they probably secretly like it and are just saying they hate it because it's hard. (Don't deny it, you know it's true.). For the people that like this game, that's great.
So, this was my review of Frappy SNES. It is a fairly good clone of Flappy Bird, but the controls are a bit unresponsive. Anyways, I hope you liked my review. Bye!
