Every game I try to play while logged in to my Vizz Acount is playing extremely fast as if I was constantly holding down the space bar.

First I would like to state that I did do my best in searching the forums for similar topics. I'm not the most savvy when it comes to navigating forums, but the few posts I found that did relate to this topic either didn't have applicable answers or were left unanswered. With that out of the way, let me get to the actual problem. I have been playing games on Vizzed for the past few weeks with no problem using Google chrome. Today, out of the blue, every game I try to play while logged in to my vizzed account appears to be stuck in the fast mode that is by default activated by holding the space bar. I tried changing the keybind just to make sure it wasn't stuck, that didn't help. I tried playing the game on different web browsers and that didn't fix the problem either. The only thing I could do to resolve the problem was playing the games using Mednafen, or by playing logged out of my vizzed account (both methods causing me to lose my save data and progress). I wasn't really able to find anything else, my guess is that it has something to do with a control setting tied to my account, I just can't figure out what it is. Re-installing the RGR didn't fix the issue either, so any help would be appreciated. I really enjoy playing the older Pokémon games on vizzed and would like to resume doing that a.s.a.p.

Since no one seems to want to reply, I'll try to help.  Do you happen to use a USB keyboard?

This is actually a problem which has been discussed over the years I've been here, without a clear solution.

It's happened for me before and I just restarted my laptop which fixed it.

Okay, just trying out the USB keyboard option because I use a USB keyboard with my laptop(the ps/2 wasn't working before, now it does for some reason ) Anyway, sometimes while using the usb keyboard the ps/2 keyboard underneath would be pressed down and some keys would be pushed.

Anyway, did restarting fix it?

Unfortunately restarting my laptop didn't fix the issue. Since originally making the post I've also tried deleting the install files and associated data within the vizz folder for my games (thinking maybe a re-install of the game's emulator data would fix the issue) and that didn't work either.

Hmm.... this is a strange occurence...

Have you tried downloading a GBA emulator and Fire Red rom and see if it works there?

(This is optional; If you feel this is wrong to do don't do it)

Other than the emulator and rom offered on this site, no I haven't. Would you have any recommendations on places to look for them? I'm hoping to avoid picking up a virus along the way if I do try.

Really sorry for the late reply, totally forgot about this....

You can try downloading Virtual Boy Advance for the GBA emulator. From the official website, so probably no viruses.(I've downloaded this before, didn't give me virus)
http://visualboyadvance.net/

For the fire red rom...You can also go to Cool Rom which is a good site for ROMS
http://coolrom.com/roms/gba/14488/Pokemon_FireRed.php
BUT BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD click alternative download link with ads and timer DO NOT CLICK DOWNLOAD NOW

Also, if you don't like Cool Rom, you can try using Get Your Rom which is an affiliate of Vizzed.
http://www.get-your-rom.com/

Note: I am not condoning the use of ROMs in anyway, I'm only doing this to see if it is a problem with your computer or something else.

Great news! I followed your instructions, and both the emulator and fire red rom are working on my laptop. I'm starting to think that a setting somewhere within my vizzed emulator file got flipped, going to try an uninstall/reinstall of the software and see if it fixes the problem. If all else fails, this other emulator will let me keep playing my favorite games so thank you for all your help! Don't worry, I won't let this thread die just in case someone else in the future has this problem. Just keep me updated on your ideas and I'll continue to test them.

Update: Completely un-installing/re-installing the Retro Game Room (roms, configs, etc.) FIXED the issue. I tried re-installing once whilst maintaining the roms and config files (it offers the option when going to un-install for convenience) but the problem persisted. Only when I had completely gutted the RGR did I fix the problem. I already tried manually re-installing a few of the roms with no effect. Which leads me to believe that something in the config files had gotten changed. I have no idea what I could have done to cause such an error, other than using the emulator's speed-up function. Any thoughts?

Is there somewhere you can upload the config so I can compare it to mine?

Maybe we could find the problem by looking at both.

Saurafang :
It's good to see that the emulator was working, so yeah. I read the update, and yeah, the config files were probably changed. I'm not sure if you can actually edit them, so it was most likely a game download or something that caused the files to change.  Glad to see I helped you out. Is there anything else you have a problem with? There's a chance if you notify this to RGR staff, they'll try to update it to not do that again.

If you ever have any problems with this again, let us know and we'll try to figure it out.

Also sorry for sounding like customer service from Amazon

Everything else is running fine at the moment (knock on wood). As for uploading my config files I guess I could try doing it using google docs or something. If you have any suggestions on a file host I'd be willing to look into it.

Saurafang : Google docs is pretty good to use. If you still have your old config, and you could upload it, it's a possibiility the RGR staff can see what's wrong with it.
