If you want to make a new layout there is one type you can choose. The other two are said to come soon, but I've seen them there forever and I think that if it's not mentioned they will stay there forever. So are these two types going to come or won't they be available? I hope somebody can answer my question, it might be quite difficult.

I'm afraid I haven't heard anything about the future plans for the basic layout editor... I doubt the other layout templates would be available anytime soon unless there becomes a pressing need for it.

Which means, new layout designs aren't coming any time in the near future, because the man who designed the feature... (JigSaw) is permabanned, and isn't going to be returning, let alone returning in a position of power where he can upgrade the layout system.

Unfortunately, this means, only one kind of basic layout is available.

Yeah David has a huge amount of work to do, especially since he's getting caught up with a huge number of notifications. I would love to see it improved, but it won't happen for a long time.
