Let me be a little more specific - I hate one substitute teacher. Let me be even more specific - I hate the substitute teacher that we have when my French teacher is not there. Let me explain why.

So we have a test, and the sub is there during the test instead of our regular French teacher. So I finish the test right away and hand it in. Everyone else hands it in pretty early, so there is still a lot of time left in the period. My friend Ryan is the only one with a test. Ryan is that one funny kid that always makes jokes during class. You know, the one that the teachers either love or hate. He is a genius, but he always takes his time during tests and asks a lot of questions, just to ensure that he does a good job. He also has ADD. So that, combined with wanting to be the funny kid, causes him to make miscellaneous noises all the time. Apparently the sub was getting tired of Ryan's questions and random noises. She told him to shut up, but of course he kept asking her questions. I don't know why she would get annoyed, since they were questions about the test. Anyway, he hands in his test with a few minutes left in the period, so everyone talks for the remaining time.

I come into French today and my French teacher has a very angry look on her face. She says that she needs to talk to me and Ryan outside. Apparently the sub said that the two of us were not only disruptive, but also cheating off of each other. Wait, what?!?!?! What did I have to do with this?!!??!?!?! We both got a 0 on the test and also got written up. What the hell?!?! Neither of us were cheating, and Ryan was not being any more disruptive than he usually is. So we went down to the dean and talked to him about it. He said that there were no write ups for us. Now I'm even more confused.

I am fighting this 0. I will not take a punishment for something I didn't do, and neither will Ryan. We have the entire class as witnesses. The only one who thought we were cheating was that sub. It's everyone against her. I'm not sure what the hell was going on in her head, but I know that I was not cheating, and neither was Ryan.

Wow, that is terrible. I have had quite a few subs that were more than annoyed with some students normal behavior, but I've never heard of a teacher state that they were cheating, or even assume that somebody else was doing it as well. Do you sit next to him? I hope both of you win.

zanderlex : Yeah I sit next to him, and apparently that makes me part of this I guess. Even though "this" isn't really anything at all. My teacher is seeing that she has to believe the sub since she wasn't there. Hopefully she changes her mind when she realizes that every single student in the class agrees with us.

Yeah I had some bad memories with some substitutes, but on the other hand, I love most of them! Most of the substitutes in my school are very young and cool, so they aren't annoying nor pushy about doing your work in class. But of course everyone has those bad substitutes. Like this one I had who was like 50 years old made us dance and do "jazz hands"... I was not happy. Surprisingly that was our Algebra 2 class...So yeah I think overall I like my substitute teachers .

Wow, that's really screwed up. How is asking questions considered to be cheating? That's bad logic.
I am guessing that she got really annoyed from all of the questions to the point of wanting to punish you two. Not like she has teach a class so what's the point of going through all of that trouble and misusing her power. It's definitely the worst when adults are considered to be more trustworthy and honest than the students in schools which is rigged. I would be angry about this type of situation as well.

I hope you get this situation sorted out and you two won't have to get punished.

Some substitutes are okay, and some are just horrible. But I can't really recall any experiences off from the top of my head. I hate it when my teacher is absent because it messes up the plans and then we just end up with a bunch of bookwork and other dumb assignments. Most kids really take advantage of the substitutes and they sit wherever they want and talk all class XD

The one actual teacher that isn't a sub that I REALLY don't like is my economics and personal finance teacher. He is so monotone and boring for a subject that is already boring! He show us the lamest videos about money and finance and gives us dumb assignments...he put everyone to sleep and I don't think he knows how to handle high school students since no one listens to him. 

Wow. That seems really unfair. I hope hat you are able to come back from that.
Subs can be really fun when they don't care, but other times they can be terrible. I like subs that don't care, and if they do that kind of thing, they really shouldn't be a teacher. It's obvious they don't like kids.

There's this sub at our school who I'm pretty sure gets off on punishing teenagers. He's a grade A jerkface. He never misses an opportunity to insult our intellect even when we Ace tests.

I just like to take solace in the fact that the reason he insults us so much is because he can't come to terms with his own pathetic excuse for a life.

That's pretty awful. I have had some bad substitute teachers, but yours takes the cake. My biggest problems are with the substitutes that talk the entire period. They have nothing relevant to say about the assignments, but yet, they continue to talk. When you simply want to focus, and get your work done, talking about irrelevant subjects only servers to distract you. And then, of course, you either get a poor grade on the assignment because it went unfinished, or you end up having to do it for homework. You just cannot win. 

Oh I guess I forgot to give you guys an update.

Me and Ryan went to the other dean. This dean is usually the mean, strict one. He was really helpful though. He removed our detentions and said he is going to talk to the sub. It's been weeks now and I haven't heard back from him yet.

The substitutes I always get are not to bad. Most of them just put on movies for us to watch or gives the students no class work for the period. But there was some that would give us tests for what ever their reason was. I never actually took the tests serious cause I always thought that the tests I get from substitute teachers were not the real deal.

tgags123 : tgags have you told your parents and filed a complaint to your school's office? The principal or teacher should ask the kids in the class and then find out the truth. You and your friend should be able to retake the test and the sub will be fired from the school
