This may be a bit of a stupid question but oh well, I am still asking it. What is your favorite thing about your favorite handheld? I don't mean the games, well it can be the music or graphics of the games but not the games themselves. I mean what the handheld could or can do, what it looks like, how it works, stuff like that.

My favorite handheld is the Sega Game Gear, It is hard to pick a favorite thing so I will tell you what I like about it then say what my favorite thing is. I love the way the handheld looks, I don't know what it is about the look of it but I just like it. The screen is large and clean (although the console does have so display issues, like the screen not being visible on less you tilt the handheld but that is not the case for all Game Gears). The quality of the games was great, it was like a portable Master System and as a matter of fact it had an attachment that let you play Master System games on it. It also had a thing called the TV Tuner that let you watch TV on it.

My favorite thing about the Game Gear is the Master Converter. I know that a lot of Master System games are on the Game Gear already but it is such an awesome thing to be able to play the previous generation home consoles games on this generations handheld, well its not this generation anymore but you know what I mean!

GenesisJunkie : For me it's a tie the 3DS and the Sega game gear. The 3ds because of the great virtual console and all the games. And the game gear how it feels in my hands and of course the games itself. And the master gear converter i play mickey mouse on it all the time lol.

My favorite handheld is the 3ds or more specifically the 2ds mostly because I like the design more and it feels nicer in your hands and I never use the 3d function on my 3ds anyways (not the mention the 2ds is a lot cheaper). I don't actually own a 2ds though but I have played on one and I hope I'll be able to get one eventually.

Zlinqx : Is the 2DS good quality wise? I was really thinking about getting one when they were on sale but I ended up not getting it because they were still 100 bucks and I though it might just be junk. Does it close up like every other DS does? It doesn't look like it closes.

I also really like the Sega Nomad. It is a portable Sega Genesis. The screen is big and bright and it plays most games perfectly. It does have a few problems but it is very neat.

GenesisJunkie : It's flat and doesn't close up so it is going to be a bit harder to take with you.
I don't mind to much though as I don't travel with it that much and closing and opening the top screen actually wears it out and makes it loose.
Otherwise it's pretty much a 3ds without the 3d function and has about the screen size of a regular 3ds although the screen seems a bit brighter.

I'd say that if you don't care about the 3d function and you can get past the fact that you can't fold it you should get it.
Especially since it's the most comfy handheld in your hands that I know of.

I haven't tried the Sega nomad but i have heard of it and if it plays most Sega Genesis game without too much trouble I'm guessing I would like it a lot.

Zlinqx : I am glad I didn't get it then. I really need it to close. I want to keep the screen as good as possible. I really couldn't care less about the 3D feature.

The Nomad is pretty neat, what I don't like about it is the battery life (which can be avoided by using ac cords or use the car lighter cord in the car). Also if you give it the slightest of a shake it will reset, which means you can't get to into a game, if you get all worked up and move too much you will end up resetting your game. That being said it was the best handheld of its time in my opinion, it was so cool and still is. If you have a Genesis collection and want to play em on the go this thing is perfect or you can buy one of those cheap after market handhelds (I would suggest the Nomad though).

GenesisJunkie : Yeah I heard it had a short battery life. Didn't know it would reset easily from shaking it though would make a bit scared of playing from fear of accidentally resetting.

Still I love the Sega Genesis so I would still like it most likely. However I would probably rather get a Sega Genesis again as I don't have my Sega Genesis anymore.

PacmanandMariofan : It seems that every other post is saying that their favorite is the 3DS. That must be one heck of a handheld. I really don't care for 3D, I could care less about it but I would love to play some of the games and try it out. I have never even played on one.

My favorite handheld is the PS Vita because of all of its features, such as videos, the camera, and music. Its the only handheld I owned that had these, in good quality. Also, the Vita is like a brick to me, I dropped it many times and nothing happened.

My favorite Handheld is the 3ds at the moment, for having good Games and being able to watch Youtube videos on it, because my phone is a little damaged and I am too lazy to start up my Computer just because I wanna watch some Videos.
But the Games are important in that line.
