I just finished watching Puellla Magi Madoka Magica and re watching Cardcaptor Sakura, and it got me thinking.... Which Magical Girl anime is the best? You have the funny and romantic series like Sakura and Sailor Moon but, then there are the more darker series like Madoka and Utena. Which Magical Girl Anime out of the choices given is the best, and why? All Opinions are welcomed!!!

Definitely Sailor Moon. Well "definitely", just because it's the one I know the most and like the most. If I would want to finish one of the listed series - which I'm not planning to do - but if, I would choose Sailor Moon. I grew up with it, it's a classic and I like the atmosphere in it.

I've also seen a few episodes of Pretty Cure, because it was on TV for about two years, but didn't like it. Too girlish, but also not really interesting. Then, I've seen something of the other series, but too less to judge, so that's why I chose Sailor Moon.

Shoujo anime just isn't my thing, I guess.

I would never even guess that Revolutionary Girl Utena was even considered a Magical Girl anime.

Anyways, it's kind of hard to choose. To be fair, I've only ever watched all of Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Revolutionary Girl Utena. I never finished the rest of what you listed.

Hm.. Although I'm a huge fan of PMMM, I'd have to go with RGU. If it's considered a Magical Girl anime, anyways. That stuff has some pretty dark content, darker than PMMM!
