I'm just playing through Pokémon Leaf Green again. You've all played Fire ed or Leaf Green, right? Or the original Red and Blue? Well, I was just wondering... What's with the entire Nugget Bridge situation, where every trainer you battle go all like "I did my best! I have no regrets!" after you defeat them, anyway?

There's a Rocket Grunt at the end of the bridge who would invite you into Team Rocket... My dark theory about this, is that the trainers on Nugget Bridge work for Team Rocket, in order to overwhelm you so that the Rocket Grunt could force you to work for Team Rocket as well. What's even more... creepy... about this, is that those trainers are all children, and your character is 10 years old, so this actually makes sense. And would imply child labour...

There are a lot of dark things going around Pokémon, such as the rumour about Blue's Ra tic ate actually being buried in Lavender Town's Pokémon Tower, Spunk's heart stopping when it stops bouncing, etc. But have you ever thought about this theory?

koraza : Blue, you mean? Well, I can see why you'd think that, since he was there in the SILPH CO. building with Team Rocket and apparently had no trouble of getting out, but I don't believe Blue works for Team Rocket. If you have theories which suggests that he does, however, I would love to hear them.

If you where talking about Silver, however, that could very well be true. He is Giovanni's son, after all.

I like the theory about all the trainers working for Team Rocket, as if they are just trying to show the boss how strong you are and they would be successful if they lost. My mind is semi blown, good job.

Am I the first one to post he who knows the difference between a theory and a hypothesis? What you are talking about is a hypothesis, not a theory. They don't mean the same thing.

Anyway, I don't think they are Rockets. I think that a Rocket decided to watch over Nugget bridge, waiting until he meets someone who completes the Nugget Bridge Challenge. Rockets don't want weak members, so he figured that someone who completes this challenge would be strong enough to be a Rocket, so he would recruit one who does it. The idea that the trainers on Nugget Bridge are meant to overwhelm you so he could force you to be a Rocket doesn't really make sense to me. The Rocket offers you to join the Rockets. Upon the battle, he didn't give the ultimatum that if you lose, you have to be a Rocket. If his purpose was to overwhelm you with those trainers, he wouldn't have asked you to join them. He would have actually tried to force you to join. And it isn't much of an attempt to 'overwhelm' you with a challenge that allows you to go to the Poke Center to completely heal whenever you want. Now if there was something about the challenge in which you had to beat each trainer without leaving to go heal, that would make more sense. But it doesn't.
