Is Mega Man 3 bringing you down? Well I hope my guide will help you master this great game. In my guide I will be offering difficulty analysis of the stages as well as the robot masters. I will also be covering game hints as well. So lets get started on what I hope helps you beat this game. 
I will be using a difficulty scale based on 1-10. Here is how I score the stages and Robot Masters.
1-2 easy
3 slightly difficult
4-5 moderate difficulty
6-7 difficult
8-10 very difficult

There are several robot master orders in this game. In this guide I will be going with one of the more common ones.
1. Snake Man
2. Gemini Man
3. Needle Man
4. Spark Man
5. Magnet Man
6. Hard Man
7. Top Man
8. Shadow Man

other orders I have used are: Shadow, Gemini, Needle, Snake, Spark, Magnet, Hard and Top. I have also used this order: Gemini, Shadow, Needle, Spark, Snake, Magnet, Hard and Top. It doesn't matter whatever works for you. However, if you are going to go after Gemini or Shadow man first. I recommend using a password first to give yourself some energy tanks. To get the maximum number of energy tanks type in this password. Click the red circle on the password screen and type in A6. Now lets get started with the guide and analysis 

Snake Man Stage (difficulty 3/10)
The first enemy you will meet is a bouncy enemy just ignore him. The next enemy is a snake just shoot it. I think it takes 2 or 3 shots to kill. The next area of the room just has the bouncy enemies and more snake enemies. You will then see a ladder, climb up the ladder and you will see more snake enemies. The next ladder you climb will take you up to this stage's mini boss. The mini boss for this stage is just a big snake. I have found it best not to stay on the moving platforms. Just stay on the left side and blast away while dodging the fireballs. Next, you will need to do a careful jump. But before you do that be sure to take out the snakes and the bomb dropper enemy flying above you. Now, you can execute the tricky jump carefully. Head down the shaft and you will meet a new enemy it is an enemy that catapults and tries to run into you. Just take the catapult enemies out, they do not take that many shots to destroy. Climb the next ladder and take out the Hammer Joe. The next ladder has another Hammer Joe to deal with and then it is a rematch with another big snake. Just deal with the big snake like you did before. Do another tricky jump and take out the catapult enemies. You will notice there are two ladders. What you want to do is take the second ladder and climb up. Take out the lady bug enemy on the next ladder then jump on it and climb. You will land on pipes with cloud platforms coming up, the best thing to do is jump right before one comes up. If you do not jump you will be knocked off into the pit. Just use the cloud platforms to jump to the next pipe and so on. You will also need to dodge the cloud enemies shoot them and they are revealed to be bullets. Continue to proceed the same way now it is onto snake man. Snake Man (difficulty 2/10). Snake Man is not really a problem. He jumps and also throws snakes at you. I find it best to avoid the snakes as they will climb the wall and focus your fire on Snake Man. Snake Man goes done pretty quickly. Difficulty Analysis-Snake Man's stage is not difficult at all. The only thing that is tricky in this stage is the jumps. Snake man himself is very easy. The only real danger is him landing on you but that is about it. 

Gemini Man stage (difficulty 8/10)
Now for a stage that is really difficult, ugh it is time for pain. The first enemy you will see is an air born enemy, what he does is drop fire on you, so watch out for him. Proceed to the right and meet a new enemy a robot penguin. The penguins will throw sacks of bombs at you so take them out quickly. Continue to head right and deal with the fire dropping enemy and the penguins. Next, Proto Man teleports in to open the shaft. Head down the shaft that was just opened and you will notice some strange bubbles. The strange bubbles have tadpoles in them so just shoot them to make yourself a path. Climb up the ladder and blast the bubbles again to make yourself a path to the next ladder. The next room has dragon fly enemies, they just like to swoop down and hit you. You will also notice a large penguin in the room. what you want to do is hit the penguin in its face and if it produces mini penguins from the bottom just take them out. The rest of the room is just a repeat of dragon flies and another Giant Penguin. Now for the hard part of this stage. You will notice there is water and a high platform so how do you get up to the platform? You have to use Rush Coil to jump. The next phase is very hectic you have fish at the bottom, they will try to fire torpedoes upwards to knock you off, you also have dragon flies to deal with, and the platforms are very narrow. To safely get across you will need to be careful. Jump to the next platform and if you have to, take out the dragon flies. There are also two energy tanks that can be gotten in this section. Eventually you will find the ladder climb up to advance. After climbing the ladder you will meet cricket enemies, these are easy to take out, and a stomp enemy. the stomp enemy can only be taken out when it opens its eyes so remember that. Now onto Gemini Man. Gemini Man (difficulty 8/10) this fight has two parts to it. The first part Gemini Man will create a clone of himself. The best thing to do is shoot the clone jump and repeat. Once 30% of his energy is gone he will start firing lasers. The lasers can bounce around the wall getting multiple hits on you. If you have Search Snake that is his weakness so use that. Other than that just get in shots when you can. Difficulty Analysis-this stage is difficult mostly because of the water room and the enemies trying to hit you from behind. Gemini man is hard because he can create a clone, but his lasers can be hard to dodge. 

Needle Man Stage (difficulty 3/10)
After going through Gemini Man's stage this stage is a breather. The first room has porcupines in it. These porcupines can shoot needles at you or they can roll up into a ball and try to roll into you. So take them out quickly. Fall down the shaft and you will meet cannons and Mets. The cannons just take a few hits to destroy so they are not much of a problem. You will also need to watch out for the dragon flies as well. Now, after climbing the ladder you will notice you need to slide to proceed. However, be careful as needles will come out of the ceiling. The needles are not death spikes but they do damage so beware of that. Climb up the next ladder and defeat the porcupine enemy again. There is also an energy tank to get if you want it. The next area just has Hammer Joe's and a stomp enemy to deal with. Now onto Needle Man. Needle Man (difficulty 5/10) Needle man jumps around a lot and fires needles at you. He is bad about closing in on you. I find it best to stay a distance and fire. He is very weak to Gemini Laser. In fact it only takes 4 hits from it to knock out Needle Man. Difficulty Analysis. This stage is not bad at all. The only real danger are the porcupines and the needles coming from the ceiling. Needle Man is more of a problem as he will spam you with needles. He also likes to corner you so fight from a distance. 

Spark Man( difficulty 7/10)
Now for an electrifying experience. The first room just has a roller enemy and it is easy to take out. After taking out the roller enemy just climb the ladder. The next room has lightening rod like things on the floor and ceiling. The rods cannot be destroyed so wait till they are not firing lightening and quickly move. The next room has lightening rods in it as well as spark enemies that fire sparks at you. It is just bust to avoid both of these enemies. Climb the ladder and take out the Hammer Joe and proceed to the next ladder. The next area has elevator platforms jump on them and get off. The platforms if you are not quick will send you into the death spikes on the ceiling. In addition to the platforms you also have to dodge the bolt enemies. Next fall down a long shaft do not worry they are no death spikes to worry about. The next room has falling trash shoot the trash and quickly slide. Then head down another shaft. The next room is a repeat of the area with the elevators, ceiling spikes and bolt enemies. You can quickly jump or you can use Rush Jet to get across to Spark Man. Spark Man (difficulty 7/10) this guy can be a real pain. First of all the layout is uneven, which works out in his favor. Spark Man will fire lots of sparks at you as well as jump. Eventually he will fire off a huge giant spark at you. The best way to beat him is shoot from a distance when you can. He is also week to Shadow Blade or the Needle Cannon. Difficulty Analysis-this stage can be difficult mainly for the room with the elevators. So many times if you are not quick you will get sent into the death spikes. You also have the lightening rods to deal with. Spark man can be a problem. He likes to jump and fire lots of sparks at you, which are hard to dodge. 

Magnet Man Stage (difficulty 3/10)
The first part of this room has magnet enemies, which can pull you up toward them doing damage. It is possible to hitch a ride but I find that risky because if you jump you will be pulled up. There are also pits to watch out for as well. Climb down the shaft and Proto Man will challenge you. He is pretty simple just slide, dodge and fire. He will then open the pathway up for you. The next room just has giant spring heads in it. The spring heads will bobble if you hit them but they can also fire homing missiles at you too. It is best to take them out and climb down the ladder. The next room just has roller enemies in it so continue to climb down the ladder. Now the next room has roller enemies and magnets that will pull you in so be careful of that. Now we have a few phases of disappearing blocks. The blocks go into a pattern so memorize accordingly. Eventually they will be placed over a giant pit. I find it best to not take chances and use Rush Jet to get across. Climb up the ladder and take out the multiple directional cannon and avoid the spikes, then climb up. All that stands between you and Magnet Man is a giant spring head. Magnet Man (difficulty 2/10) Magnet Man is very simple, he will try to pull you toward him or he will fire missiles at you. His missiles are not hard to dodge so shoot him. He is weak to Spark Shock. Difficulty Analysis-This stage was actually not to bad. The only hard part is the disappearing block segment. Magnet Man himself is pretty easy just dodge his attacks and do not let him pull you toward him. 

Hard Man Stage (difficulty 4/10)
The first room has bees that drop eggs with mini bees in them. Shoot as many as you can and then run. Toward the end you will notice green containers sticking out. Avoid them because they have clamp enemies that will grab you if you stay on the containers. Climb the ladder you will notice a Hammer Joe. He is in a tough place to get, so what do you do? I find the Gemini Laser to work wonders here it can bounce of walls and hit the Joe. After getting rid of the Hammer Joe climb the next ladder. The next room has gorillas in it all they do is just try to jump on you, but beware they are very quick. After dealing with the gorilla enemies just head up the ladder. You will find a gorilla is blocking the net ladder try to lure him to were he jumps down the ladder, you just came from, allowing you to climb up the ladder he was blocking. The next room just has Mets operating construction equipment. Take the top path for an energy tank and then proceed. The next area just has Mets in it. The next room has bees and clamps in it so move very quickly. Head down the ladder for another match with Proto Man. All that lies between you and Hard Man is a stomp enemy. Hard Man (difficulty 4/10). Hard Man is so big and heavy that when he lands from jumping he will stun you. His hard knuckles also pack a punch. However he leaves himself open to attacks so fire away. He is also weak to Magnet Missiles. Difficulty Analysis-The stage is not too bad the main threats are the enemy placement such as the bees and clamps. Hard Man is more of a problem. If he lands on you it does a lot of damage. He can also stun you just by jumping. He does leave himself open up to attacks. 

Top Man stage (difficulty 2/10)
Now for the easiest stage in the game. The first room just has the bolt enemies from Spark Man's stage nothing too hard. After that head down the ladder. The next room has top enemies that throw tops at you, but if you just hand down from the ladder you can take the top enemy out. The next room just has bolts and floor spikes, just jump on the platforms they give you and head down. The next room just has Mets operating construction equipment again so nothing hard here. Head down the ladder take out the Mets and continue. The next room has a robot cat in it. Just shoot it and it will throw pieces of yard at you as well as fleas. The next room just has top enemies in it. Then its time to take care of the Cat again. The next area up from the ladder is just a room with floor spikes, and one met on the platform. Deal with the Met and climb up. All that lies between you and Top Man is spinning platforms in the shape of tops. Just jump on them to proceed. Top Man (Difficulty 1/10) this guy is a joke. He throws tops which are easy to dodge and then spins to the other side. He leaves himself open to attacks so blast away. He goes down quick even without his weakness. His weakness is the Hard Knuckle by the way. Difficulty Analysis The only real threat in this stage are the cats and spikes. Top man is such a joke that you do not even need his weakness to beat him 

Shadow Man stage (difficulty 4/10)
Now for my favorite stage and robot master in this game. For the first part just fall down the red waterfall and take out the multiple cannon enemy. After taking out the cannon fall down the shaft and take out the cricket enemies. Next, take out the met on a bulldozer and then its time for a duel with Proto Man. After the duel with Proto Man he opens up the pathway for you. The next room has a lot of roller enemies and a hologram enemy. The hologram enemy just turns the room dark with stars in the background. You will also meet grenade enemies. Be careful when shooting the grenade enemies if you are to close you will be caught in the explosion. Fall down the shaft and meet a bunch of crickets. Now to get across you can jump to the platforms and try to avoid the parachute enemies. Another way is to use Rush Jet. Take out the crickets then head for the gate. Shadow Man (difficulty 10/10) Now for a real battle. Shadow man is tough his weakness is Top Spin but if you hit him with that, you will receive lots of damage too. Shadow Man jumps at you, slides at you, and then throws shadow blades at you all in a fast pace. He is very quick, this is a tough fight, it is best to have some energy tanks here. Difficulty Analysis this stage is not to bad the only thing is the enemy placement. Plus trying to cross the path without Rush is asking for trouble. Shadow man is very tough. His weakness is nearly impossible to hit him with. He is very fast and throws lots of shadow blades at you.  

Doc Robot stage 1 Needle Man (rating 5/10)
Notice how the stage has changed here, it is now dark.. The first thing we meet is the porcupine enemy. Deal with it like you did before. Head down and avoid the needles coming from the ceiling and the death spikes then climb up the next ladder. You will then see a long ladder but before you climb it deal with the spring head enemy. The ladder, to get to it use Rush Coil, is long. You can also use Rush Jet to gain some items on the side, but you will need to use him anyway to get to the top. Take out the porcupine and its to Doc Robot One. This Doc Robot mimics Air Man. Just dodge the tornadoes and blast him. He eventually goes down. I prefer fighting these with the buster to save the special weapons for Dr. Wily. The next area is a large room that requires Rush Jet. Use Rush to get across shoot the enemies along the way and get weapon energy on the platforms  to recharge. Use Rush Jet again to climb the next ladder. Then you will have the catapult enemies to deal with. The next room has a Giant Met to deal with and regular Mets to deal with as well. The next Doc Robot mimics Crash Man. He will jump and throw a bomb when he comes done fire.  Difficulty Analysis This stage is not too bad. They are some trouble spots the long Rush Jet room can be a problem, which is mostly due to enemies falling down. The Doc Robots are not too bad in this stage. The robot that mimics Air Man is more of a problem in this stage. 

Doc Robot 2 Shadow Man stage (Difficulty 6/10)
The first thing you notice is the waterfall is gone. What is left is death spikes so carefully make your way down. The next room has roller enemies and death spikes to deal with. Take out the stomp (bouncer) enemy and the rollers to proceed. The next area is tricky the platforms as soon as you step on them open up. So quickly get on and off. To make matters worse the hologram enemies turn the lights out on you. Also deal with the grenade enemies like you did before. Take out more roller enemies and its time for Doc Robot 1 of this stage. This Doc Robot mimics Wood Man. He throws his leaf shield at you and tries to jump to corner you. Just get in attacks when you can and he eventually goes down. After that you have the room with the parachute enemies and crickets again. I recommend using Rush Jet to safely get across. The Spring Head is what lies between you and the second boss of this stage. Doc Robot 2 in this stage mimics Heat Man. He just throws fire at you and then zooms across the room. Jump to avoid the fire and blast nothing to hard here. Difficulty Analysis. The first half of this stage is the most hectic and difficult. The difficulty comes from the platforms over pits that open when you land on them. Not to mention the lights can go out. The Doc Robots in this game are not too bad. The first one is more of a problem. 

Doc Robot 3 Gemini Man stage (difficulty 6/10)
The first room is basically unchanged in layout. The only difference is there are more pits and instead of Penguins you have bug like enemies. Once you get to the end fall down the shaft. The next few rooms just have the bubbles in them so deal with them like you did before. Then it is on to the First Doc Robot. Doc Robot One mimics Flash Man. The only real danger here is when he freezes time other than that shoot for a quick victory. After the first battle use Rush Coil to get to the next platform, jump over the pit and proceed. You will also notice the ceilings have cracks in them, bugs will come out of the cracks so watch out for that. For the large water room you can either use two things Rush Jet or Rush Marine either one will work. Climb the ladder deal with the bomb enemies, climb up some more, deal with the bugs, and proceed. That is pretty much the tone till the next gate. Just deal with the bugs, more will drop from the ceiling after you shoot them, and climb down ladders. Doc Robot 2 mimics Bubble Man. Avoid jumping into the spikes as that is instant death. Also avoid the bubbles and bullets then you can safely fire. This stage did have a few problems, mostly due to the enemy placement and the pits. The Doc Robots are not really that hard in this game. The last one is the more tricky one of the two in this stage, and that is because of the death spikes. 

Doc Robot 4 Spark Man stage (difficulty 8/10)
the first room is the same as before, except that the ladder is missing, so use Rush Coil to get up there. Take out the roller and climb the ladder. While climbing the ladder use Shadow Blade to take out the bugs on the ladder. The next room is the same accept you have the spark enemies and more death spikes to deal with. Next, jump on the ball like platforms to climb the next ladder and deal with the Spring Head enemy to proceed. The first Doc Robot mimics Metal Man. Just avoid the Medal Blades and shoot he goes down quickly. The next shaft is covered with death spikes so carefully fall down the shaft. The room after the spike shaft just has bolt enemies and lightening rods in it. The final room just has trash falling down and pits so watch out for that. The second Doc Robot mimics Quick Man. This guy is jumpy and throws boomerangs at you. What you want to do is try your best to dodge and fire. This is the hardest Doc Robot battle as it may require an energy tank. Difficulty Analysis this is the hardest stage of the four. The spikes is what bumps the difficulty up on this one. In addition, the second Doc Robot is a pain to deal with as he can land on you, throw boomerangs at you, so you have watch out for that. 

Proto Man will challenge you for a final duel after the Doc Robots have been defeated. Now its time for the cut scenes. Mega Man returns to Dr. Light's lab with all the elements. But Dr. Light tells him that Wily ran off with Gama. Gama was a peace keeping robot they both built. Mega Man than heads to Wily Castle. 

Wily Stage 1 (difficulty 4/10)
The first room just has a few top enemies in it before you are dumped into the water. The first pool has lots of penguins in it and death spikes. It is just bust to avoid all of them and then climb the ladder, which takes you out of the pool. The next room just has spikes and Hammer Joes, you will also need to use Rush to get to the next ladder. To skip the disappearing block sections just use Rush Jet to get to the boss gate. The boss is a turtle maker. Just destroy the turtles but the more you destroy the faster they get. If you want to take them out quick Top Spin works well. Difficulty Analysis really the only hard parts of this stage are the water part, because of the spikes, and the layout also due to the spikes. The turtles will get faster as the battle goes on but even then they are not difficult 

Wily Stage 2 (Difficulty 5/10)
The first room just has the platforms that open up when you jump on them and ladders. It does not matter which ladder you climb they both lead to the same area. The next room has clamps and bees in it so just avoid them and jump quickly. The next part just requires Rush Jet then its to the main gate. The boss here is the Yellow Devil. Avoid his pieces that he is using to form himself with. When he gets fully formed fire a Hard Knuckle into his visible eye. Repeat dodging and fire again. Difficulty Analysis this stage was short and there wasn't too many enemies here. The main problem is the Yellow Devil. It is so easy to get hit with pieces he uses to form himself with so that can be a big problem. 

Wily Stage 3 (Difficulty 4/10)
The first room is going to require you to use Rush Coil to get up on the platforms. Then once on the platform take out the cannon and go up the right ladder. You can then slide for an energy tank. Then use Rush Coil again to get up on the next platform. Moreover, the next room just has the hologram, grenade enemies and a few Hammer Joe's to deal with. The next few rooms have moving platforms and spikes on the wall. So quickly get up the ladders to proceed. The boss of this stage is a copy version of Mega Man. The best way to win is try to find the true clone, the others are just holograms, and hit it with Search Snake. Difficulty Analysis this stages problems mainly come from the spikes and the clone battle. Everything else is pretty much easy. Dealing with the clone can be trouble because only one is the correct one. 

Wily Stage 4 (Difficulty 10/10)
The first half of this stage is just rooms with trash throwing enemies in them. Just take out the trash enemies and proceed. The second half is just a rematch with the Robot masters. Difficulty Analysis I think its obvious why this on is difficult it is because you have to fight the bosses again 

Wily Stage 5 (Difficulty 3/10)
Meet Wily Machine #3 this one uses pins to move and it is slow. You will notice the bottom has a cannon that is the first parts weak point, take it out with Spark Shock. The second part Wily tries to move across you just slide under the pens to move out of the way. Shadow Blade is a good enemy here as it can be aimed upward. Wily falls out of his machine Mega Man goes to capture Dr. Wily only to find out it was a robot made to look like Dr. Wily Difficulty Analysis this is not hard at all the Spark Shock and Shadow Blade really make this fight easy. Since you can side The Wily Machine is not really a challenge at all. 

Wily Stage 6 (Difficulty 5/10)
The first part is a fight with Gamma. There are two ways to win this battle. The first being use Rush Jet to get up on the platforms, stand on Rush and fire. The second, way is to use Shadow Blade as it can be aimed upward. There are three weapons to use on the second part. First use Rush to get on the platforms. You can either use Hard Knuckle to take out Wily, Search Snake will work, and for something funny try the Top Spin. The Top Spin will defeat Dr. Wily with one blow. Difficulty Analysis this was hard for me to rate because you are required to use special weapons. But still Gamma and Wily can be problems due to the bullets they fire. It is so easy to get knocked off a platform during this fight. 

Ending
Dr. Wily is defeated but before Mega Man can arrest him debris from Gama fall on them both. Dr. Wily is also Knocked out and so is Mega Man. Proto Man comes in and gets Mega Man. Mega Man wakes up in Dr. Light's Lab. Dr. Light ask Mega Man who brought him there and then a whistle starts. Dr. Light says it was Mega Man and Roll's brother Proto Man. The credits roll and we see the robots that Wily and Light made. Mega Man looks to the sky as to say thank you to his brother. The ending shows Wily's flying saucer going across the sky indicating that Wily will be back. I really liked this ending it is one of my favorite endings.

Just stay on the left side and blast away while dodging the fireballs. Next, you will need to do a careful jump. But before you do that be sure to take out the snakes and the bomb dropper enemy flying above you. Now, you can execute the tricky jump carefully. Head down the shaft and you will meet a new enemy it is an enemy that catapults and tries to run into you. Just take the catapult enemies out, they do not take that many shots to destroy. Climb the next ladder and take out the Hammer Joe. The next ladder has another Hammer Joe to deal with and then it is a rematch with another big snake. Just deal with the big snake like you did before. Do another tricky jump and take out the catapult enemies. You will notice there are two ladders. What you want to do is take the second ladder and climb up. Take out the lady bug enemy on the next ladder then jump on it and climb. You will land on pipes with cloud platforms coming up, the best thing to do is jump right before one comes up. If you do not jump you will be knocked off into the pit. Just use the cloud platforms to jump to the next pipe and so on. You will also need to dodge the cloud enemies shoot them and they are revealed to be bullets. Continue to proceed the same way now it is onto snake man. Snake Man (difficulty 2/10). Snake Man is not really a problem. He jumps and also throws snakes at you. I find it best to avoid the snakes as they will climb the wall and focus your fire on Snake Man. Snake Man goes done pretty quickly. Difficulty Analysis-Snake Man's stage is not difficult at all. The only thing that is tricky in this stage is the jumps. Snake man himself is very easy. The only real danger is him landing on you but that is about it. 

Gemini Man stage (difficulty 8/10)
Now for a stage that is really difficult, ugh it is time for pain. The first enemy you will see is an air born enemy, what he does is drop fire on you, so watch out for him. Proceed to the right and meet a new enemy a robot penguin. The penguins will throw sacks of bombs at you so take them out quickly. Continue to head right and deal with the fire dropping enemy and the penguins. Next, Proto Man teleports in to open the shaft. Head down the shaft that was just opened and you will notice some strange bubbles. The strange bubbles have tadpoles in them so just shoot them to make yourself a path. Climb up the ladder and blast the bubbles again to make yourself a path to the next ladder. The next room has dragon fly enemies, they just like to swoop down and hit you. You will also notice a large penguin in the room. what you want to do is hit the penguin in its face and if it produces mini penguins from the bottom just take them out. The rest of the room is just a repeat of dragon flies and another Giant Penguin. Now for the hard part of this stage. You will notice there is water and a high platform so how do you get up to the platform? You have to use Rush Coil to jump. The next phase is very hectic you have fish at the bottom, they will try to fire torpedoes upwards to knock you off, you also have dragon flies to deal with, and the platforms are very narrow. To safely get across you will need to be careful. Jump to the next platform and if you have to, take out the dragon flies. There are also two energy tanks that can be gotten in this section. Eventually you will find the ladder climb up to advance. After climbing the ladder you will meet cricket enemies, these are easy to take out, and a stomp enemy. the stomp enemy can only be taken out when it opens its eyes so remember that. Now onto Gemini Man. Gemini Man (difficulty 8/10) this fight has two parts to it. The first part Gemini Man will create a clone of himself. The best thing to do is shoot the clone jump and repeat. Once 30% of his energy is gone he will start firing lasers. The lasers can bounce around the wall getting multiple hits on you. If you have Search Snake that is his weakness so use that. Other than that just get in shots when you can. Difficulty Analysis-this stage is difficult mostly because of the water room and the enemies trying to hit you from behind. Gemini man is hard because he can create a clone, but his lasers can be hard to dodge. 

Needle Man Stage (difficulty 3/10)
After going through Gemini Man's stage this stage is a breather. The first room has porcupines in it. These porcupines can shoot needles at you or they can roll up into a ball and try to roll into you. So take them out quickly. Fall down the shaft and you will meet cannons and Mets. The cannons just take a few hits to destroy so they are not much of a problem. You will also need to watch out for the dragon flies as well. Now, after climbing the ladder you will notice you need to slide to proceed. However, be careful as needles will come out of the ceiling. The needles are not death spikes but they do damage so beware of that. Climb up the next ladder and defeat the porcupine enemy again. There is also an energy tank to get if you want it. The next area just has Hammer Joe's and a stomp enemy to deal with. Now onto Needle Man. Needle Man (difficulty 5/10) Needle man jumps around a lot and fires needles at you. He is bad about closing in on you. I find it best to stay a distance and fire. He is very weak to Gemini Laser. In fact it only takes 4 hits from it to knock out Needle Man. Difficulty Analysis. This stage is not bad at all. The only real danger are the porcupines and the needles coming from the ceiling. Needle Man is more of a problem as he will spam you with needles. He also likes to corner you so fight from a distance. 

Spark Man( difficulty 7/10)
Now for an electrifying experience. The first room just has a roller enemy and it is easy to take out. After taking out the roller enemy just climb the ladder. The next room has lightening rod like things on the floor and ceiling. The rods cannot be destroyed so wait till they are not firing lightening and quickly move. The next room has lightening rods in it as well as spark enemies that fire sparks at you. It is just bust to avoid both of these enemies. Climb the ladder and take out the Hammer Joe and proceed to the next ladder. The next area has elevator platforms jump on them and get off. The platforms if you are not quick will send you into the death spikes on the ceiling. In addition to the platforms you also have to dodge the bolt enemies. Next fall down a long shaft do not worry they are no death spikes to worry about. The next room has falling trash shoot the trash and quickly slide. Then head down another shaft. The next room is a repeat of the area with the elevators, ceiling spikes and bolt enemies. You can quickly jump or you can use Rush Jet to get across to Spark Man. Spark Man (difficulty 7/10) this guy can be a real pain. First of all the layout is uneven, which works out in his favor. Spark Man will fire lots of sparks at you as well as jump. Eventually he will fire off a huge giant spark at you. The best way to beat him is shoot from a distance when you can. He is also week to Shadow Blade or the Needle Cannon. Difficulty Analysis-this stage can be difficult mainly for the room with the elevators. So many times if you are not quick you will get sent into the death spikes. You also have the lightening rods to deal with. Spark man can be a problem. He likes to jump and fire lots of sparks at you, which are hard to dodge. 

Magnet Man Stage (difficulty 3/10)
The first part of this room has magnet enemies, which can pull you up toward them doing damage. It is possible to hitch a ride but I find that risky because if you jump you will be pulled up. There are also pits to watch out for as well. Climb down the shaft and Proto Man will challenge you. He is pretty simple just slide, dodge and fire. He will then open the pathway up for you. The next room just has giant spring heads in it. The spring heads will bobble if you hit them but they can also fire homing missiles at you too. It is best to take them out and climb down the ladder. The next room just has roller enemies in it so continue to climb down the ladder. Now the next room has roller enemies and magnets that will pull you in so be careful of that. Now we have a few phases of disappearing blocks. The blocks go into a pattern so memorize accordingly. Eventually they will be placed over a giant pit. I find it best to not take chances and use Rush Jet to get across. Climb up the ladder and take out the multiple directional cannon and avoid the spikes, then climb up. All that stands between you and Magnet Man is a giant spring head. Magnet Man (difficulty 2/10) Magnet Man is very simple, he will try to pull you toward him or he will fire missiles at you. His missiles are not hard to dodge so shoot him. He is weak to Spark Shock. Difficulty Analysis-This stage was actually not to bad. The only hard part is the disappearing block segment. Magnet Man himself is pretty easy just dodge his attacks and do not let him pull you toward him. 

Hard Man Stage (difficulty 4/10)
The first room has bees that drop eggs with mini bees in them. Shoot as many as you can and then run. Toward the end you will notice green containers sticking out. Avoid them because they have clamp enemies that will grab you if you stay on the containers. Climb the ladder you will notice a Hammer Joe. He is in a tough place to get, so what do you do? I find the Gemini Laser to work wonders here it can bounce of walls and hit the Joe. After getting rid of the Hammer Joe climb the next ladder. The next room has gorillas in it all they do is just try to jump on you, but beware they are very quick. After dealing with the gorilla enemies just head up the ladder. You will find a gorilla is blocking the net ladder try to lure him to were he jumps down the ladder, you just came from, allowing you to climb up the ladder he was blocking. The next room just has Mets operating construction equipment. Take the top path for an energy tank and then proceed. The next area just has Mets in it. The next room has bees and clamps in it so move very quickly. Head down the ladder for another match with Proto Man. All that lies between you and Hard Man is a stomp enemy. Hard Man (difficulty 4/10). Hard Man is so big and heavy that when he lands from jumping he will stun you. His hard knuckles also pack a punch. However he leaves himself open to attacks so fire away. He is also weak to Magnet Missiles. Difficulty Analysis-The stage is not too bad the main threats are the enemy placement such as the bees and clamps. Hard Man is more of a problem. If he lands on you it does a lot of damage. He can also stun you just by jumping. He does leave himself open up to attacks. 

Top Man stage (difficulty 2/10)
Now for the easiest stage in the game. The first room just has the bolt enemies from Spark Man's stage nothing too hard. After that head down the ladder. The next room has top enemies that throw tops at you, but if you just hand down from the ladder you can take the top enemy out. The next room just has bolts and floor spikes, just jump on the platforms they give you and head down. The next room just has Mets operating construction equipment again so nothing hard here. Head down the ladder take out the Mets and continue. The next room has a robot cat in it. Just shoot it and it will throw pieces of yard at you as well as fleas. The next room just has top enemies in it. Then its time to take care of the Cat again. The next area up from the ladder is just a room with floor spikes, and one met on the platform. Deal with the Met and climb up. All that lies between you and Top Man is spinning platforms in the shape of tops. Just jump on them to proceed. Top Man (Difficulty 1/10) this guy is a joke. He throws tops which are easy to dodge and then spins to the other side. He leaves himself open to attacks so blast away. He goes down quick even without his weakness. His weakness is the Hard Knuckle by the way. Difficulty Analysis The only real threat in this stage are the cats and spikes. Top man is such a joke that you do not even need his weakness to beat him 

Shadow Man stage (difficulty 4/10)
Now for my favorite stage and robot master in this game. For the first part just fall down the red waterfall and take out the multiple cannon enemy. After taking out the cannon fall down the shaft and take out the cricket enemies. Next, take out the met on a bulldozer and then its time for a duel with Proto Man. After the duel with Proto Man he opens up the pathway for you. The next room has a lot of roller enemies and a hologram enemy. The hologram enemy just turns the room dark with stars in the background. You will also meet grenade enemies. Be careful when shooting the grenade enemies if you are to close you will be caught in the explosion. Fall down the shaft and meet a bunch of crickets. Now to get across you can jump to the platforms and try to avoid the parachute enemies. Another way is to use Rush Jet. Take out the crickets then head for the gate. Shadow Man (difficulty 10/10) Now for a real battle. Shadow man is tough his weakness is Top Spin but if you hit him with that, you will receive lots of damage too. Shadow Man jumps at you, slides at you, and then throws shadow blades at you all in a fast pace. He is very quick, this is a tough fight, it is best to have some energy tanks here. Difficulty Analysis this stage is not to bad the only thing is the enemy placement. Plus trying to cross the path without Rush is asking for trouble. Shadow man is very tough. His weakness is nearly impossible to hit him with. He is very fast and throws lots of shadow blades at you.  

Doc Robot stage 1 Needle Man (rating 5/10)
Notice how the stage has changed here, it is now dark.. The first thing we meet is the porcupine enemy. Deal with it like you did before. Head down and avoid the needles coming from the ceiling and the death spikes then climb up the next ladder. You will then see a long ladder but before you climb it deal with the spring head enemy. The ladder, to get to it use Rush Coil, is long. You can also use Rush Jet to gain some items on the side, but you will need to use him anyway to get to the top. Take out the porcupine and its to Doc Robot One. This Doc Robot mimics Air Man. Just dodge the tornadoes and blast him. He eventually goes down. I prefer fighting these with the buster to save the special weapons for Dr. Wily. The next area is a large room that requires Rush Jet. Use Rush to get across shoot the enemies along the way and get weapon energy on the platforms  to recharge. Use Rush Jet again to climb the next ladder. Then you will have the catapult enemies to deal with. The next room has a Giant Met to deal with and regular Mets to deal with as well. The next Doc Robot mimics Crash Man. He will jump and throw a bomb when he comes done fire.  Difficulty Analysis This stage is not too bad. They are some trouble spots the long Rush Jet room can be a problem, which is mostly due to enemies falling down. The Doc Robots are not too bad in this stage. The robot that mimics Air Man is more of a problem in this stage. 

Doc Robot 2 Shadow Man stage (Difficulty 6/10)
The first thing you notice is the waterfall is gone. What is left is death spikes so carefully make your way down. The next room has roller enemies and death spikes to deal with. Take out the stomp (bouncer) enemy and the rollers to proceed. The next area is tricky the platforms as soon as you step on them open up. So quickly get on and off. To make matters worse the hologram enemies turn the lights out on you. Also deal with the grenade enemies like you did before. Take out more roller enemies and its time for Doc Robot 1 of this stage. This Doc Robot mimics Wood Man. He throws his leaf shield at you and tries to jump to corner you. Just get in attacks when you can and he eventually goes down. After that you have the room with the parachute enemies and crickets again. I recommend using Rush Jet to safely get across. The Spring Head is what lies between you and the second boss of this stage. Doc Robot 2 in this stage mimics Heat Man. He just throws fire at you and then zooms across the room. Jump to avoid the fire and blast nothing to hard here. Difficulty Analysis. The first half of this stage is the most hectic and difficult. The difficulty comes from the platforms over pits that open when you land on them. Not to mention the lights can go out. The Doc Robots in this game are not too bad. The first one is more of a problem. 

Doc Robot 3 Gemini Man stage (difficulty 6/10)
The first room is basically unchanged in layout. The only difference is there are more pits and instead of Penguins you have bug like enemies. Once you get to the end fall down the shaft. The next few rooms just have the bubbles in them so deal with them like you did before. Then it is on to the First Doc Robot. Doc Robot One mimics Flash Man. The only real danger here is when he freezes time other than that shoot for a quick victory. After the first battle use Rush Coil to get to the next platform, jump over the pit and proceed. You will also notice the ceilings have cracks in them, bugs will come out of the cracks so watch out for that. For the large water room you can either use two things Rush Jet or Rush Marine either one will work. Climb the ladder deal with the bomb enemies, climb up some more, deal with the bugs, and proceed. That is pretty much the tone till the next gate. Just deal with the bugs, more will drop from the ceiling after you shoot them, and climb down ladders. Doc Robot 2 mimics Bubble Man. Avoid jumping into the spikes as that is instant death. Also avoid the bubbles and bullets then you can safely fire. This stage did have a few problems, mostly due to the enemy placement and the pits. The Doc Robots are not really that hard in this game. The last one is the more tricky one of the two in this stage, and that is because of the death spikes. 

Doc Robot 4 Spark Man stage (difficulty 8/10)
the first room is the same as before, except that the ladder is missing, so use Rush Coil to get up there. Take out the roller and climb the ladder. While climbing the ladder use Shadow Blade to take out the bugs on the ladder. The next room is the same accept you have the spark enemies and more death spikes to deal with. Next, jump on the ball like platforms to climb the next ladder and deal with the Spring Head enemy to proceed. The first Doc Robot mimics Metal Man. Just avoid the Medal Blades and shoot he goes down quickly. The next shaft is covered with death spikes so carefully fall down the shaft. The room after the spike shaft just has bolt enemies and lightening rods in it. The final room just has trash falling down and pits so watch out for that. The second Doc Robot mimics Quick Man. This guy is jumpy and throws boomerangs at you. What you want to do is try your best to dodge and fire. This is the hardest Doc Robot battle as it may require an energy tank. Difficulty Analysis this is the hardest stage of the four. The spikes is what bumps the difficulty up on this one. In addition, the second Doc Robot is a pain to deal with as he can land on you, throw boomerangs at you, so you have watch out for that. 

Proto Man will challenge you for a final duel after the Doc Robots have been defeated. Now its time for the cut scenes. Mega Man returns to Dr. Light's lab with all the elements. But Dr. Light tells him that Wily ran off with Gama. Gama was a peace keeping robot they both built. Mega Man than heads to Wily Castle. 

Wily Stage 1 (difficulty 4/10)
The first room just has a few top enemies in it before you are dumped into the water. The first pool has lots of penguins in it and death spikes. It is just bust to avoid all of them and then climb the ladder, which takes you out of the pool. The next room just has spikes and Hammer Joes, you will also need to use Rush to get to the next ladder. To skip the disappearing block sections just use Rush Jet to get to the boss gate. The boss is a turtle maker. Just destroy the turtles but the more you destroy the faster they get. If you want to take them out quick Top Spin works well. Difficulty Analysis really the only hard parts of this stage are the water part, because of the spikes, and the layout also due to the spikes. The turtles will get faster as the battle goes on but even then they are not difficult 

Wily Stage 2 (Difficulty 5/10)
The first room just has the platforms that open up when you jump on them and ladders. It does not matter which ladder you climb they both lead to the same area. The next room has clamps and bees in it so just avoid them and jump quickly. The next part just requires Rush Jet then its to the main gate. The boss here is the Yellow Devil. Avoid his pieces that he is using to form himself with. When he gets fully formed fire a Hard Knuckle into his visible eye. Repeat dodging and fire again. Difficulty Analysis this stage was short and there wasn't too many enemies here. The main problem is the Yellow Devil. It is so easy to get hit with pieces he uses to form himself with so that can be a big problem. 

Wily Stage 3 (Difficulty 4/10)
The first room is going to require you to use Rush Coil to get up on the platforms. Then once on the platform take out the cannon and go up the right ladder. You can then slide for an energy tank. Then use Rush Coil again to get up on the next platform. Moreover, the next room just has the hologram, grenade enemies and a few Hammer Joe's to deal with. The next few rooms have moving platforms and spikes on the wall. So quickly get up the ladders to proceed. The boss of this stage is a copy version of Mega Man. The best way to win is try to find the true clone, the others are just holograms, and hit it with Search Snake. Difficulty Analysis this stages problems mainly come from the spikes and the clone battle. Everything else is pretty much easy. Dealing with the clone can be trouble because only one is the correct one. 

Wily Stage 4 (Difficulty 10/10)
The first half of this stage is just rooms with trash throwing enemies in them. Just take out the trash enemies and proceed. The second half is just a rematch with the Robot masters. Difficulty Analysis I think its obvious why this on is difficult it is because you have to fight the bosses again 

Wily Stage 5 (Difficulty 3/10)
Meet Wily Machine #3 this one uses pins to move and it is slow. You will notice the bottom has a cannon that is the first parts weak point, take it out with Spark Shock. The second part Wily tries to move across you just slide under the pens to move out of the way. Shadow Blade is a good enemy here as it can be aimed upward. Wily falls out of his machine Mega Man goes to capture Dr. Wily only to find out it was a robot made to look like Dr. Wily Difficulty Analysis this is not hard at all the Spark Shock and Shadow Blade really make this fight easy. Since you can side The Wily Machine is not really a challenge at all. 

Wily Stage 6 (Difficulty 5/10)
The first part is a fight with Gamma. There are two ways to win this battle. The first being use Rush Jet to get up on the platforms, stand on Rush and fire. The second, way is to use Shadow Blade as it can be aimed upward. There are three weapons to use on the second part. First use Rush to get on the platforms. You can either use Hard Knuckle to take out Wily, Search Snake will work, and for something funny try the Top Spin. The Top Spin will defeat Dr. Wily with one blow. Difficulty Analysis this was hard for me to rate because you are required to use special weapons. But still Gamma and Wily can be problems due to the bullets they fire. It is so easy to get knocked off a platform during this fight. 

Ending
Dr. Wily is defeated but before Mega Man can arrest him debris from Gama fall on them both. Dr. Wily is also Knocked out and so is Mega Man. Proto Man comes in and gets Mega Man. Mega Man wakes up in Dr. Light's Lab. Dr. Light ask Mega Man who brought him there and then a whistle starts. Dr. Light says it was Mega Man and Roll's brother Proto Man. The credits roll and we see the robots that Wily and Light made. Mega Man looks to the sky as to say thank you to his brother. The ending shows Wily's flying saucer going across the sky indicating that Wily will be back. I really liked this ending it is one of my favorite endings.
