I just got bad news yesterday about my good aunt Terry.  She was my favorite aunt because she was the one that would take care of my siblings and I if my mother went into one of her drug times.

Well for 2 years she's had a horrible infection in her leg.  (Sorry but I have no idea what the infection name is.)  Just yesterday she passed out and was brought to the ER.  The infection had ruptured into her blood stream.  Right now she has 50/50 chance of survival!  Worst thing is I live no where near where she is and I have no money to get there.  It hurts me so that I can't see her.  Aunt Terry never was ill and always was there for us.  I want to scream because I want to be there for her and I can't!  I know none of you can help me but I needed to get this off my chest.  I have no one else to talk to about this.

Geez! That's just awful... It really hurts when you can't go and see her... is there anyway you can still talk to her? Like via e-mail or letter or something?
I hope that she pulls through, though. Losing someone close to you just.... sucks.
If I was the type who prayed, I would... Instead, I'll just hope.

An update on her situation!

The treatment looks like it's working.  She has woken up a few times over night so that's good news.  That's all I have on her situation right now.  I get updates through my brother.  He is going to see her today and report back to me on what is going on.

Well, things seem to be doing good for her. I hope she gets a speedy recovery!

Nice too know that your Aunts doing better. Was this an illness that just recently occured or something that shes had for a while? Sorry if I sound rude I'm just a little curious. Any idea when you may be able to see her again?

Well she's had this huge mass on her leg growing for 2 years.  Everyone has been urging her to get it removed but she's been too scared to go into surgery.  So in the middle of this past week it leaked into the blood stream and she went into a coma from it.

We are hoping she is now convinced to get it removed when she gets better.  Right now I have no new info on her condition.  We could not get a hold of anyone today.  I will update this thread when I learn more about what is going on.
