Chapter
Eight: The Next World’s Crisis

         “Damn it!” growled an angry Jerry
as he and his acquaintances arrived at their next destination on Meganium’s
back. “Looks like we were too late for this World, too.” He was, in fact,
partially correct. A dark purple haze was surrounding them, and the atmosphere
had an odd, sinister feel to it. NintendoFanKimmy motioned her thumb to the
button on her ball capsule. She was prepared to call out Chiko at any second.
Greenluigi quickly held out his small, dagger-like pocket knife; it was the
only weapon he had. Jerry, defenseless, hid behind the two. Sadly, all of his
Pokémon, including Houndoom, died in the explosion back at Team Flare
Headquarters. They had to be sacrificed in order to save Serena, and they were
left behind just after Jerry knocked Lysandre out cold. By then, the beam of
destruction the Ultimate Weapon, powered by Yveltal, had fired was already in
the sky, falling down to Earth, and there was not much that could have been
done. Besides suicide, that is. Back to where our heroes were, at the Mario
World, they were all in position, ready to strike. “We’ve got to exterminate
the regional villain at all costs. We might find the first piece of XZH if we
do,” said NintendoFankimmy. They noticed a dark, shadowy figure in the
distance, but it was very vague and hard to figure out. Suddenly, the dark
purple haze was starting to clear out, and the vague, distant figure was
beginning to become clearer. Then, they could hear maniacal laughter coming
from the now completely visible figure they had identified – Antasma, the Bat
King and also a Nightmare. Literally, though. “Oh ho, what do we have here?”
Antamsa chuckled, floating closer to the trio. Green tightened his grip on the
pocket knife, and Kimmy frowned threateningly. “Look,” Antasma started,
obviously not amused at all. “I really am running on a tight schedule. So
forgive me if I make this a little quick.” He then started quickly dashing to the
friends. Kimmy frantically pressed the Pokéball button, and greenluigi struck
his tiny dagger at Antasma, but it merely went through him. “Foolish boy,”
Antasma snarled, grabbing green by his shirt. “You are going to regret this
massively, child.” Then, he charged up a nightmare beam, a mixture of sadness,
fear, malice, and energy, and shot it straight to green’s face. Greenluigi
screamed in pain, and was blasted into the ground, where he lay unconscious.
“GREENLUIGI!” yelled NintendoFanKimmy and Jerry in unison. Then, Kimmy’s fear
and concern immediately changed into anger and hatred. “You are going to pay
for this, freak!” she yelled at Antamsa, sounding very unforgiving. Then, she
began swearing and cursing, raving mad, for what he had done to her cousin.
“Oh, my…” commented Jerry from his little hiding spot in the distance he
scurried off to before the battle started. “That’s got to hurt.” Then, Kimmy
ordered her Meganium, Chiko, to strike a Razor leaf to the Bat King, and make
sure it hit him hard. Easily, though, Antasma halted the leaves in mid-air with
his psychic powers and sent them back to Kimmy and Chiko as sharp pieces of
metal. “Ouch! Ouch!” shouted NintendoFankimmy as the tiny metal blades flew by.
“Heh, heh…” laughed Antasma. “That should get you all scratched up.” Then,
NintendoFanKimmy dropped to her knees as she felt a piece slightly pierce
through the middle of her chest, causing her to breathe hardly, and become
dizzy. “Ugh...” she managed to let out, clutching on to where she was bleeding
from. Then, Antamsa chuckled sinisterly and flew over to the wounded girl,
knocking her on her back and grabbing her neck, pinning her to the ground.
“Good night, Kimmy,” he told her, charging up one last nightmare beam. Just as
he was about to launch the fatal blow to Kimmy, he stopped, and then collapsed
on his side. Surprised, NintendoFanKimmy looked to the right. She saw Jerry
wielding a handgun. “Jerry…” Then, he helped her up and told her to lean her
weight on him. “Don’t thank me now. You’re hurt. Where’s green?” Kimmy frailly
pointed her finger to the left, where there was a huge hole in the ground. While
supporting Kimmy, he walked over to the pit. Inside it laid greenluigi,
motionless but breathing. Then, he slowly opened his eyes. “I’m fine,” he said.
Then, he got up and limped to Jerry. “Sort of.” Jerry extended his free hand.
“Need help, sport?” Greenluigi smiled. “Nah. I’m fine.” ‘Fine.’ He was bruised
on his face. Sure he was fine. At least he was alive. “Oh, my God! What
happened to Kimmy?” Then, Jerry looked at NintendoFanKimmy. “Antasma happened.
But she’s okay. Just unconscious. The metal didn’t pierce too deep. I think it
fell out, actually.” Greenluigi sighed in relief. “That’s good to know. And
from what I see, you shot Antasma right?” Jerry nodded. “Yeah. And look what I
found.” Jerry held out a gray piece of steel about the size of his head. A dark
purple aura was around it. “It was inside Antasma.” Green’s eyes widened. “W-we’ve
found it! The first piece of XZH!” Then, the piece of the XZH Hack began to
glow dark purple and make a screeching noise. “Argh!” yelled greenluigi and
Jerry as they dropped to their knees, covering their ears. “It’s just like the
horcruxes Harry and his friends were hunting for in Harry Potter…” mumbled
Kimmy, who was beginning to wake up. Then, green unsheathed his small but
effective pocket knife and bravely yelled and stabbed the metal chunk with
great force. Then, it exploded into several pieces and evaporated into the air
as Jerry, NintendoFanKimmy, and greenluigi just stared forward, speechless. “Uh…”
started Kimmy. “Yay?” Green and Jerry smiled. “Yay.” Then, they all cheered
happily. “We did it! We eliminated the first piece of XZH!” Then, they set
towards the horizon once more, this time not knowing their destination, all
cheerful, and with flames of hope in their hearts that were blown bigger by the
previous event.
