Here is another review by IB122, and this review is on the game "The Legend of Zelda" for the NES. This game has became the 2nd biggest gaming series that Nintendo owns (the first being Mario) This series happens to be one of the most famous series that lasts all the way to today, and although they was a few bumps in the road *cough" CD-i "Cough". This game was released in 1987 (1986 in Japan) for the NES system and this have as well with the Super Mario Bros. game, they both revolutionized the whole gaming industry to where it is today. This game really offer a whole lot on just for the NES system, what does this game offer? Let's look at the review.

Graphics
For the Graphics in this game, it is very outstanding for an 8-bit system and I think they really did a nice job for it's time the game is all detailed and all nice looking, although the Graphics to my point of view could be a little bit better though, but being a 1986/87 game I think mostly they gave tried their best during their time when this game was made which I don't think is wasn't much of an issue,  What I do got to say, every bit in this one game has a whole lot of interesting effects though, like when you defeat Ganon, and a bunch of other effects, I think they did pretty good with that though. as for the setting, I think it does look pretty nice though, For the NES, I really like on how the scenery has turned out like the treed having that 8-bit texture and being green, plus most of the paths are easy to tell on where to go (although some parts it's really hard to point out though), also, the cave settings and the dungeon levels all looks really nice and well done for it's time, so for the settings, I just really like on how it turned out altogether.

Ok, with everything I said regarding the Graphics, I'm going to give the score for the graphics an 8 out of 10, I did think they would do a tiny bit better with the graphics but for the NES, not really a whole lot in this game because it being an 8-bit system, but a few things can be fixed up a tiny bit though.

----

Sound and Music
The sound effects in this game is really interesting, it has that classic 8-bit sounds, although they really ain't that much to say about the sound effects because it got that classic NES sounds, but other than that, thats's mostly it
But for the music of the game on the other hand, I think this was a major part of this game, it's just that the music really came out really nice and clear, even for an 8-bit system, although only 4 different songs happened to be played in this game, but I tell you, just those 4 songs, they are one of the best on not just the Zelda games, but any games on the NES, and with anyone that is a huge video game fanatic out there can easily guess the overworld theme without even guessing because the music in the Zelda games is really famous to remember, and it's not just hardcore video game fanatics, but also people that are new to video games, it has revolutionized on how music is played in a video game.

So, with all that said about the sounds and music on this game, I'm going to give this a 9 out of 10, mostly because the music of this game is just... fantastic, that's mostly all I got to say about this game because it's really that nicely done and very legendary, but the sound effects can do a tiny bit better though which would give this a perfect 10, but 9 out of 10 is still really nice to have though.
----

Addiction Level
The Addiction Level for this game is extremely high, because to everyone, despite The Legend of Zelda is Nintendo's 2nd biggest game series, but how much people are addicted to the The Legend of Zelda series, it should be #1, but anyways, for this game, it is very addictive, the reason why, this has became the first game where the player can interact in their world by exploring this game (which does influence games in the future). The only thing is if you don't get too frustrated at the beginning of the game and just stop playing the game altogether, once you get through that tough patch at the beginning, then this game can be really quite addicting though, so to my though on how the addiction level in this whole game, it has really made a lot of people addicted to this game, that's mostly what I do got to say about that, a whole lot of people.

Anyways, with all that said, I'm going to give the addiction level of this game a perfect 10 out of 10, because on how much this game has to do and how much you can explore in this game a lot of people likes exploring the map, that's what makes a game really good.

----

Story
The story begins in a kingdom known as Hyrule where everything was all calm and peaceful, that was until Ganon's army has invaded the kingdom and caused a lot of mayhem in the whole kingdom. And Ganon happens to kidnap Zelda (or known as the princess of Hyrule), but what makes different than the Super Mario Bros. game, you don't just have to save the Princess, but you also have to get the power of the triforce as well so you can be able to restore Hyrule back to normal. Zelda before her kidnapping has spitted up part of the triforce, the triforce of Wisdom, and Link has to find all the pieces to the triforce and use it to defeat the evil Ganon and both free Zelda and get the other triforce (the Power).

So, with the story, I'm going to give this a 9 out of 10, it is a pretty great story, although he has followed part on the Super Mario Bros. game, but just a tiny bit though, but that's mostly it though, a really great story in this game.

----

Depth
With the Depth of this game, it's really got a whole lot to offer, just like I mentioned in the Story, you got to go find the 8 missing pieces to the triforce of Wisdom that is scattered around Hyrule, and it isn't just trying to find those 8 pieces, also, they're a whole lot of other interesting items and weapons you can grab as well for you to use on your way to find the missing triforce pieces and finding Ganon and Zelda. As for the game itself, it does have a lot of levels you can explore rather if you're trying to find the triforce pieces, items, or just looking around the world of Hyrule, either way, this game doe have a whole lot in this game, you have like a total of 9 dungeons to look in and all the different items you can use to defeat your enemies with, and all the different ways you can travel in order to get to Ganon, this game sure offers a whole lot to my opinion.

So with everything I have included in the depth of this game, I'm going to say and give the Depth score of 9 out of 10, this game really has a whole lot to offer, like all the many levels and the many items to use, it's just really that nice.

----

Difficulty and Gameplay
The Difficulty of this game isn't really that bad if you mostly know on what you're doing and a really great fan of the series, but if you're new to the series, it might take some time figuring out on what you're doing, but even if you're new, you can figure out on what you're doing pretty quickly though. The only thing is that the enemies can be a little pain to get though at the start of the game, because you got to be ready on what's ahead because it can go from easy to really hard really quickly at the start of the game, but then after that, it is pretty smooth sailing though. As for the gameplay and the controls, it's really not that bad though, although some parts of the game can be a little difficult at times though. So, mostly for this game, you just need all the practicing you need to accomplish your goal of completing this whole game, because when you start.

So, as for the Difficulty and the Gameplay in this game, I will give it a 7 out of 10, it is a little hard at first, but if you know on what you're doing, it will be a whole lot more easier that you though, that brings the quote "Practice makes perfect"

----

Overall
Ok, Overall in this whole game, I do got to say, it can be quite tough at the beginning, but once you get past that part, it can be quite an interesting game though, plus you also got the legendary music playing in this game which all gamers really like to listen to, and with all you can do in this game, this can leave you playing this for quite a bit, but despite the graphics, I think Nintendo really nailed it with this game and started a legendary series in the coming years that is still going really strong even up to today, although they have been a few bumps in the road, but I see this one series that is going to stay legendary, and with the first game of the series that started the Zelda series, this one game alone became the game that started it all, so to my mind personally, this is one of the absolute best in the series.

Ok, what is the final score I should give this game, you know with all that I have mentioned above, I'm going to more likely say that I'm going to give this game a final score of 9 out of 10, it's music, addiction level, and it's depth really put this game on the map, If would say if you haven't tried this game, you should give it a shot, despite it might be a little tough at the beginning, but let me tell you, it will be completely worth it with everything else in this game.
