As the title says, what would it really be like to be a Pokemon,i constantly hear about how "OMG it would be so awesome to be a Pokemon".but i think most people are not really thinking to much into this,Pokemon are animals right...well could you possibly imagine what its like, being an animal today?,when i was a kid i always wanted to be a shark, they were just awesome to me,but then i figured out ":wait...i have to swim forever to survive, even when i am a Now there are some choices that can avoid terrible fates, such as steelix, who could harm you then? your made out of steel, but you would have to eat ore copper, and other rock and metal objects...i don't think that would taste good,oh maybe a flying type like pidgeot, you can fly away from danger, but just like all Pokemon, you would have to find a place to stay, and eat bugs for most of your life, okay maybe just maybe it won't be like that, maybe you will be a trainers Pokemon, and he will feed you and take care of you,but wait, your trapped in a ball for most of your life, your forced to fight for someone, but you get food and a place to stay...that sounds like a slave, Oh no wait, maybe you could be Arceus, you are the god of the freaking universe, you are light you are dark, you are angel you are demon, you are everything good and bad about the universe compiled into one singular form, you are eternal, but wait...your the god of the entire universe..that's alot of work, you would have to watch over ALL the legendary's,you would have to come down every once in a while to catch up on Pokemon and humans...once again that's alot of work, still you could put up the argument that Arceus is eternal and all power physically and mentally,so he could...technically never tire, but i think i got my point across So basically the question is,would you still want to be a Pokemon? and if you did, what Pokemon would you be,and why? Jesus Pikachu what drugs have you been on,i can just imagine a teacher showing a picture of this guy in school and saying "this is what happens when you do drugs kid,did you see how nice and cute Pikachu was? not anymore" Image upload: 300x300 totaling 8 KB's. I think it would be incredible to be a Pokémon, however in the downside to it you could become one of the Pokémon you aren't incredibly interested in, or one you detest. But the way I see it, it would be amazing to be born into a Charmander form (Just a quick example) for one, you'd hold some incredible power within you, not to mention the potential of evolving into more powerful forms, such as a Charizard. So to me it would be an incredible thing to do. I'd love to be a Pokémon. I'd love to be a Pokémon. |

I would HATE to be a Pokemon. I have to worry about being eaten, killed, poached and what not. I could get lucky and be caught by somebody but even that wouldn't be so great. Being forced to take hits and inflict pain until you're unconscious. Being a Pokemon would be terrible for me. I would like to control one still. |

You do have a point, relinquish022, and it can be applied to all shows... "I want to be an Agumon, so powerful and his next stages only get more powerful!" sit back and worry about "Am I training fast enough and hard enough to not get killed and absorbed..." "I wanna be Yugi, he's so cool!" as each match starts, "Will I lose my soul to a Shadow Game this time..." Regardless how powerful the series makes them look, the grass is usually turd-brown and not green on the other side of the fence... I would LOVE to be either a skitty or a meowth. I would love to be a skitty because life as a skitty sounds so fun, I mean all you do really is chase stuff and have a really good life. But the downside is, you could end up chasing the wrong thing and get killed. I would also like to be a meowth because their really clean animals and they are really tough. It would be kinda cool but it would stink too. Think about it, you are dancing around in the woods then some snotty brat puts you in a tiny ball and you have to say in that ball for days at a time, the only time you get out of the ball is when you have to fight other Pokemon. It seems like the trainer is having much more fun with the whole deal. |

I think if I do be a Pokémon, I wouldn't be replying to this thread! So I wouldn't be bothered much. I'll just think "This is my life, deal with it". A Pokémon can only faint, not get killed (except Charmander when his fire gets extinguished). But then again, when I do die, I'll become a Ghost-type Pokémon. But when you do get captured in a Pokeball, you'll either be trained or just kept. And anyway, if I have to choose, I'll become an Eevee. So my answer for this question is yes! A Pokemon can't get killed except Charmander? Cubone's mother would beg to differ on that. She was killed by Team Rocket and ended up as a normal ghost instead of a Ghost-type. I'm not sure if I'd become a Pokemon myself. Suppose it depends on how much I could control what I became and what area I was put into. If I just had to randomly trust some guy to make me the Pokemon and send me to an area I'd refuse.. Partially because he might turn me into a Magikarp and plop me down in the middle of dry land. |

I would hate to be a Pokémon because here is a cycle of their life. Hide in the tall grass from all of the young kids and then they get lost. Find a random person so they attack them. Get beat up then stuck inside of a small ball by a random kid or some obsessed man named Poke Freak. Have to be forced in combat to be either beat up by a strong Pokémon or have to beat up a weaker Pokémon. Then you get put back into the small ball of a Poke ball Anyways, Thanks for Reading one of my extensive posts, I've got some time to spend now..... I have reached my 100th post! Well I don't think I'd like to be crammed in a Pokeball .. or owned by anyone. Any trainer who caught me would have a heck of a lot of trouble training me. But I guess having some powers does help. Slicing a rock in half with Leaf Blade or Knocking something out with my Mach Punch. And I would REALLY like to feel what it feels like to be using Superpower. M y life wouldn't be too bad or too good. |

It would be pretty cool, I guess. Although, I wouldn't anyone to catch me. No way I'm getting into a capsule as small as that. Being a Pokemon would have its perks, I guess, because you could show people you mean business. It also depends on which Pokemon your are, though. But, I think I'd rather be a human ! |

I would so want to be a Pokemon because I would have so much fun. I would want to be either a Charizard or a Dragonite because I could fly around and I would be so powerful. Honestly, this is a REALLY deep question for me, because at one point, I was going to major in animal psychology. I see pokemon similar to how I see animals. I'm not an activist against the game series, but I am in support of the kind treatment of them, even if they are used for battles and such. This post I'm typing is merely in regards to responding to the question. (I won't feel bad if people skipped my post; it's a bit of a long read.) Pokemon hatch from eggs. It doesn't seem that the eggs are seen in the wild, so something to note is that pokemon hide their eggs VERY well. So well that humans can't seem to have access to them unless they are breeding their own pokemon. When they are born, they inherit traits from their parents, and the type of pokemon it is along with genetics can change how they behave, just like real animals. When they're "younger," they will grow faster. They have more room to learn and grow. But because they are wild, they will likely only learn instincts. Depending on the scenery, they may learn that humans are things to avoid. They may seem energetic and intimidating, especially if they have bigger, stronger pokemon with them. However, they can also learn that humans are wonderful. If they see that humans are not a threat and, possibly, get fed by humans, they will learn that meeting with a human means they are getting food. So with these things in mind, I'm going to sort of tell a story about how I imagine my life would be as a pokemon. For the purpose of my writing, I'm going to assume I am an Eevee. (It's similar enough to a dog, so I'm working with this.) -------------------------------- I hatch from my pokemon egg. I can't really move or see, but I can stretch and I can smell. The air feels different than the inside of the egg. I can't see, or can't see very well. Even if I can I don't recognize anything in my surroundings that has much meaning. I get nervous and a little scared. Not to mention I'm probably hungry. So I cry out. In a moment, here comes a pokemon. As soon as she makes a noise to reassure me, or curls herself around me, I can smell her and I recognize her scent from the area around me. She feeds me, and I'm now calm, comforted, and full. Because of this, I get tired, and I fall a As I get bigger, I watch what my mother does and follow what she does, copying her skills to search for food, her hiding skills, anything that helps keep me alive. I learn these things, and as I learn, I get curious. I start wandering around to see new things, to smell new scents, and learn what I can from my environment. One day, I come across something alive that I'm not familiar with. (Another pokemon.) I try to check it out and it moves in a way that makes me scared. Since I'm still small, I cry out for my mom to help me. She comes out and fights the strange creature and takes me home. After that, she starts following me more closely when I wander into the tall grasses. As I continue growing still, I start getting strong enough to hold my own against other creatures in the tall grass and my mother doesn't follow me anymore. At one point, I saw a group of strange creatures. They were taller than any other creature I had seen, and they were looking through the grass. Before I could leave one of them saw me and threw out a ball. A strange creature just a bit larger than me came out of it and started attacking me. I tried the best I could to defend myself, but I felt myself growing weaker. Before I knew it, I saw a similar ball to the one the smaller creature came out of...it was flying right towards me. After that, I felt like I was floating. I wasn't really awake, but I also didn't feel like myself. I was confined, but it didn't seem to be too small, either. It made me feel like I felt with my mother: safe. I also felt a stronger connection to the tall creature who had thrown the ball at me. At one point, I was sent out of the ball. I turned and saw the tall creature that had thrown the ball at me. It was looking at me with eager eyes and it pointed towards another small creature. I kept hearing the tall creature calling out: "Tackle!" Somehow, I understood what they wanted from me, and I acted on their command. When the other creature (pokemon) fell over, the tall creature came to my side and rubbed my head under their paw. "Good job, Eevee!" It made me feel happier. I had done something good, and the tall creature was happy for it. The tall creature got out the strange ball again, but this time, they didn't throw it at me. The ball was pointed at me and I felt the light feeling again. I started to learn the routine: I get freed from the ball, do what my new guardian asks of me, I get a pet, I feel happy, and I go back into the ball. However, I started feeling a little hungry. I never feel tired, cold, or hot in this ball. It seems to protect me. However, the ball can't protect me from being hungry. Before I knew it, I had been freed from my ball again. This time, though, I am on a soft, strange substance that I've never come across before and I'm trapped in a giant box with a hole to look outside. My guardian looked different than they did before: they had changed skins! But they seemed happy anyway. My guardian held out a small, round thing to me. I smelled it and it smelled like food! I gobbled it up and my guardian gave me another one. Before long, I was full and happy. And so was my guardian. I thought I was going to be put back into the strange ball, but instead, my guardian seemed to relax on this soft block on the floor. Before long, they were a --------------------- Huh. I suppose being a wild pokemon wouldn't be so great, but being a pampered one would be wonderful. So I suppose if I WAS a pokemon, I'd be an Eevee...but if I were to choose, I'd probably stick with taking care of pokemon instead. Making sure that they're happy and healthy is important for animals and pokemon, and I have a feeling out of anything else, I'd be a pokemon breeder or professor.
