( don't think they're another topic about this, but if I'm wrong, then close this.)
Since the HD era for the computers happen to be out now, I was a wondering on what kind of computer monitor you're using, a HD monitor
or a SD monitor.
I happen to use a High definition computer, it's a pretty crystal clear, widescreen computer monitor which can make a lot of games on here look really great.

I use a high definition computer as well. It isn't really a huge difference,  but it is noticeable.

Once you go HD you don't go back, just a saying of mine.  I love HD.  Oh I hate it when I have to play my Xbox on a standard def. TV, it drives me nuts.

I have a standard definition monitor. I have a pretty good, new computer, but the monitor I have is probably from somewhere around 2006.
I would love to have an HD monitor.

I have two laptops. Neither have HD screens. One has a resolution of 1280x720 and the other has 1680x1050. They are nice. but I wish they were better.

Just so you know, HD is 1920x1080.

Tails the Fox : Actually, 720p and up is HD, some even say anything OVER 480 (or 570) is HD, but the general HD term does mean 720p and up. See.

That means you DO have HD monitors, Hip hip!...

To answer the questions. I have an HD screen and would never get anything else. I don't play a ton of gaming, but I do enough to want HD. Also movies and some HD youtube videos look nice on it.

I would recommend to anyone who doesn't have one to spend the 200 (or less) dollars and get a 20-30 inch LED monitor... it's awesome.

Standard-definition television (SDTV):
-480i(NTSC standard uses an analog system of 486i split into two interlaced fields of 243 lines)
-576i (PAL, 720 x 576 split into two interlaced fields of 288 lines)
Enhanced-definition television (EDTV):
-480p (720 x 480 progressive scan)
-576p (720 x 576 progressive scan)
High-definition television (HDTV):
-720p (1280 x 720 progressive scan)
-1080i (1920 x 1080 split into two interlaced fields of 540 lines)
-1080p (1920 x 1080 progressive scan)
Ultra-high-definition television (UHDTV)
-2160p (3840 x 2160 progressive scan)
-4320p (7680 x 4320 progressive scan)
-8640p (15360 x 8640 progressive scan)
Cinema projection:
-2K Digital Cinema (2048 x 1080)
-4K Digital Cinema (4096 x 2160)
-8K Digital Cinema (8192 x 4608)

The availability of inexpensive LCD monitors has made the 5:4 aspect ratio resolution of 1280 x 1024 more popular for desktop usage. Many computer users including CAD users, graphic artists and video game players run their computers at 1600 x 1200 resolution (UXGA) or higher if they have the necessary equipment.
Other recently available resolutions include oversize aspects like 1400 x 1050 SXGA+ and wide aspects like 1280 x 800 WXGA, 1440x900 WXGA+, 1680 x 1050 WSXGA+, and 1920 x 1200 WUXGA.
A new more-than-HD resolution of 2560 x 1600 WQXGA was released in 30-inch LCD monitors in 2007.
In 2010, 27-inch LCD monitors with the resolution 2560 x 1440 were released by multiple manufacturers including Apple, and in 2012 Apple introduced a 2880 x 1800 display on the MacBook Pro.
Panels for professional environments, such as medical use and air traffic control, support resolutions up to 4096 x 2160.

So should i delete this because it was copy/pasted from wikipedia?
