Well it has been nearly six years since one of my high school classmates tragically passed on and I feel that I should tribute to him again. This is my poem to him.


Saying goodbye is hard to do
Our tears come as often as morning dew
So let us not say goodbye
We shall say farewell to thee
When it's meant to be
For us to see each other again
Friendship never dies
In this life or the next
Farewell to thee, dear friend
May you rest in peace

My classmate died after an accidental gunshot wound to the head. The official story is that he was going downstairs with his rifle (thinking it was on safe I suppose) when he slipped and--this is the sketchy part--he fell, with the rifle hitting the stair step and hitting him in the head. His youngest sister found him at the bottom of the stairs. Went to the hospital in critical condition and later declared brain dead. He was taken off life support and died about two hours later after the entire class of 2008 showed up to say goodbye. So yeah. That's it.
