HEYA HEYA HEYA my fans and or casual readers today i am looking at the first normal type pokemon ever made....no i mean it this is the first normal type pokemon ever so...were in for some fun

MOVESET

At the start this little fighter gets tackle and tail whip,tackle is effective and...i  guess tail whip is okay but i would never use it.

Okay at level 4 we get quick attack this move has a base attack damage of 40 and has 100% accuracy,this move is better than tackle in literally every way replace that move with this move

At level 7 we get focus energy,NO 

At level 10 we get bite this move has a base attack damage of 60 and has 100% accuracy also this move has a 10% chance of making the target flinch 

At level 13 we get pursuit and i usually call this a dark version of quick attack,this move has a base attack damage of 40 and has 100% accuracy and...its the same thing as quick attack so take it if you want 

Now at level 16 we get the move that helped me out so much in pokemon red,Hyper fang,this move has a base attack damage of 80 and has 90% accuracy and has a 10% chance of causing the target to flinch,great move i highly recommend it 

Okay at level 19 we get sucker punch,this move has a base attack damage of 80 and has 100% accuracy,also this move will almost always hit first,once again good move recommend it done

NOW at level 20 we get Raticate a furry...Sphere with teeth and eyes 

okay right when this thing evolves it gets scary face...NO 

At level 24 we get an advanced version of bite known as crunch,this move has a base attack damage of 80 and has 100% accuracy also this move has a 20% chance of lowering the targets special defense and defense,great move replace bite with this if you have not already 

Alright at level 29 we get assurance,this dark type move has a base attack damage of 50 and has 100% accuracy also this move will deal double the damage(100 damage) if you took damage the turn you used this move,i personally do not like this move but take it if you want 

At level 34 we get super fang and this move is kind of tricky,this move cuts 50% of the targets current health down and has 90% accuracy,so i guess this is a good move but still i would use hyper fang instead of this,plus have you noticed that hyper fang sounds more intimidating than super fang

Okay at level 39 we get double edge,this move has a base attack damage of 120 and has 100% accuracy but in return you take 25% of the damage the target takes,this is one of my favorite moves but use it sparingly 

Now to end this...actually decent set we get endeavor,this move lowers the targets HP to the users Hp...seems a little worthless but i guess it has its uses 


STATS

Alright this guy is a gen 1 pokemon which is already not good because statistically they have the lowest stats and this guy is a normal type pokemon and that's hurting this guy even more but lets see if this pokemons stats are really that bad,this guys health is at 55...oh dear this is going to be bad,well to be fair you are fast enough to outrun most things,This guys attack is at 81 and its the second highest stat of this pokemon so i...guess its a good stat but kind of low for my taste,this Pokemons defense is at 60 and trust me your going to die if you get hit by a powerful move ONCE and i mean ONCE i could barely survive most things that did more than 70 base damage so...i really hope you can outrun things and one hit things,This pokemon's special attack is at 50 and this is a fair trade because this pokemon has literally no special attack moves,next we have this pokemons special defense which is at 70 and this is kind of...okay considering there are alot of special attack pokemon in all the games so yeah this is okay,finally we have this pokemons highest stat which is its speed at 97...oh you thought these stats were going to go above 100 PFFT no 97,but anyway ignoring that this is Raticates highest stat and it is Raticates best stat because it helps this pokemon outrun most targets so..even though all of this things stat never go above 100 in many respects there pretty good, Now being a normal type this pokemon only has 1 weaknesses,fighting which is PERFECT that is the thing this pokemon needed it has so many things going against but this is the thing (im my opinion) that saves this pokemon plus there are not many fighting types in the game,not much else to say except...TMS AND HMS

Heya guys did you enjoy jeff..? oh you didnt well i dont blame you he is a psychotic killer anyway while you were running for your life i was coming up with a set that does have a purpose and a strategy,Hyper fang is there to be your main attack move its not meant to protect you from a certain thing its there to cut your targets down,super fang is there to execute low health targets so you dont have to waste PP for a really good move,wild charge is there not for flying types(although it can be)  its there when you want an opponent to be paralyzed all you have to do is keep spamming that move and eventually the target will get paralyzed or faint,and dig is there for you to avoid attacks when you predict the target is planning a powerful attack,and thats my set and i am very proud of this one but still if you guys have some ideas or just a better set just pm me or reply to this thread 

GYMS AND RIVALS

Alright this thing is decently effective against gyms...at first but after the 4th gym trust me this thing is going to falter so if you plan to keep this thing for long term (i have no idea why) well then i hope you plan to have a back up team,your rival how ever is a different story because this pokemon will be effective against for the entire game well...all the rivals up to gen 4 at least Cheren and Bianca's a.i is a bit more complicated so you will have some trouble against them,the trainers are nothing....NOTHING,is this thing good against the elite 4...NO NO NO NO its so weak that its insane you will do nothing but drag your team down please don't take this thing to the elite 4 for me...don't take this thing to the elite 4 for your team

Final thought:to be honest....this guy aged well,its not the greatest thing nor is it really that good but its decent and in some respects better than the normal type pokemon we have now,okay not anything major but still this guy is a good substitute,its moveset is GREAT one of the best i have seen it has its problems but there so balanced,the stats are...really bad but i do know that they are only like this because of the base stats all together and that there capped at a very low level which is unfortunate,the tms are kind of iffy but still you can make a good set,the gyms and rivals will be easy at first but still you can pull through its just going to get harder and harder everytime,all in all this thing can work out throughout the entire game but its going to get really hard later on in the game so i can recommend it to everybody but i can give it the agent of awesomeness badge for having only 1 weakness and for having a balanced moveset,ultimately when your using this pokemon your always 1 step below the enemy your the underdog but just remember the underdog can always win

Fun fact:when i was young i remember hearing story's about my great grandfather and that he had a pet vulture...apparently it was true but i have a hard time believing it,plus its very weird but looks who's talking i own a pet pig i guess it just runs in the family
