It usually is my go-to website whenever I want to view a general consensus on what people think about a game.  It is also good whenever I'm trying to search for a game that maybe I haven't played before, one that might have been out for a while and I can pick up used somewhere.

I admit I liked IGN's previous scoring system.  I like Gamespot's side tabs that explain what a game did well so that I can get the gist of the game quickly.  Of course, I sometimes disagree with them, like with their review of Skyward Sword.  When I search for reviews, I usually go to Metacritic and browse the reviews until I find one I like.  One thing I don't like about IGN is that many of their articles are porn-related.  That's the main reason I've come to prefer Gamespot.

I like IGN as well if I just want to look up a quick review for a game. It kind of annoys me how they are always giving Call of Duty a really good score every single time even though it's the same thing over and over again. No offence to anyone that plays it of course. Overall however, I do think that they are a reliable source and I'll always go to them if I want to know how good a game is before I get it.

Yeah I am not really crazy about them. I don't agree with a lot of their opinions on things. I liked their system before though. I think some of their content is useful but I do not go on there too often and I don't really use it for my reviewing material or when I am trying to sum up a game. I never really use IGN for that purpose. They have some good stuff there I guess. I like them for the most part. They aren't too bad in my opinion.

I don't go to IGN very much, but I think it's alright!! As u all know, vizzed board has this Beta Video Game room where u can make game reviews and who knows maybe when if Video Game Room becomes more POWERFUL then who knows maybe I could be 10 times more POWERFUL than IGN and Gamepot combined!!

I like IGN for news, but I tend to find that they're really inconsistent when it comes to reviews. "Battlefield 4 puts Cawadooty Ghosts to shame." Battlefield 4 score: 8. Ghosts score: 8.8. In the review of Killzone Shadow Fall, they complimented it much more than they did CoD Ghosts in it's review. Killzone had a lower review score.

With inconsistencies like these, I have no doubt that they're paid to give certain games praise and better scores. Like I said, they're great for news, but I go to Rev3Games for reviews
