HELLO guys and girls this time for awesome month we are going to look at one of my favorite dark types umbreon now beware i said i like it i didnt say it was good...but any way let me tell you why i like this pokemon

well it just looks...wonderful not really cool or powerful looking like mewtwo but just....man i dont know how to say it okay its like darkrai's dog its just seductive looking...in a sense...not saying im attracted to it-ANYWAY LETS GET STARTED BEFORE THIS THREAD GETS CLOSED...

MOVESET

At the start we get helping hand tackle and tail whip tackle will help you survive for a little bit tail whip is not that effective but its not pointless and helping hand can suck it NEXT

At level 5 we get Sand attack...decent

Now at level 9 we get a cool little dark type move known as pursuit this move has a base damage of 40 and has 100% accuracy this is a good dark type move for now take it

At level 13 we get quick attack this move may not seem that effective at first but i recommend you keep it in your back pocket for a little bit who knows it could be effective...

At level 17 we get confuse ray...pfft...-what...okay fine this move could be a little effective but i dont recommend it

Now at level 21 we get faint attack this is basically pursuits replacement this dark type move has a base damage of 60 and has 100% accuracy also this move negates changes in the targets speed or evasion so this move will almost always hit there is no reason not to take this move

Now at level 25 we get assurance now this is a fun one this dark type move has a base attack damage of 50 and has 100% accuracy but if the target already took damage for ANY reason before you used this move its damage is doubled which mean it will has 100 base damage this is a...tricky move once again this is a move i would keep in my back pocket but if you dont want it i cant stop you

At level 29 we get screech...ugh...

Now at level 33 we get moonlight this one is tricky as well now this move restores the users health based on the time of day in daytime this move will restore 1/4th of the users health at night is will restore 1/8th of the users health so...its okay its not as good as the other healing type moves but i still recommend it

At level 37 we get mean look *bangs head on desk *

At level 41 we get a VERY odd move known as last resort this move has a base attack damage of 140 and always hits...you think your getting away with that pfft this move can only be used if all pp for every other move this pokemon has been completely used up so...i dont recommend but i wont say its completely useless

At level 45 we get guard swap and....i dont like it use it if you want


STATS

Alright this pokemons main stat is focused on defense and special defense and it shows because i never got 1 hit once when i was using this pokemon anyway as i was saying this pokemons main stat is focused on defense and special defense but mostly on special defense and that stat stands at 130...impressive to say the least also its regular defense stands at 110 and that is good as well and lets take that even further this pokemons 3rd highest stat is its health at 95...my god that is some good defense but as always good stats have to have some sort of trade off so lets get to the bad news its three lowest stats are attack at 65 speed at 65 and special attack at 60....okay thats a..pretty bad trade off i am serious this will effect you alot maybe not to much to the point where it turns you off and away from it but thats pretty bad so here is what i recommend you do Ev train this thing to focus on attack and speed thats all you need to do screw the special attack it does not matter and your defense and special defense HA dont worry your pretty little head about those stats there so high that you will barely notice a drop in those stats at all now were almost done with the stats here but let me tell you another awesome thing about this pokemon you ready...okay....this things only weaknesses are bug and fighting types...im gonna give you a few minutes to calm down meet me at tms and hms when your done

TMS AND HMS

Yeah this is kind of where it goes down hill...

Faint attack
Moonlight
Giga impact
Any thing that has something to do with physical attack

Yeah i just made this crap up when i was 1/4 in the game im sorry but this things tms and hms are terrible they cant even work with its stats are the moves it learns on its own this is just the set that got me through the game if you got something else be sure to tell me but here is a tip use the giga impact and if you take damage just use moonlight...hey it worked for me..

GYMS AND RIVALS

Uh...well...maybe...yeah this thing is not that great against gyms-but thats not to say its bad its just not that good the problem is its attack in special attack it cant keep up with the gyms at all on top of that it will still be to slow but if you took my advice and Ev trained it to focus on attack and speed it should not be to much of a problem now your rival might be a challenge but it should not be to much of a problem if you have a decent team backing you up but i would never ever let this pokemon be the tip of the spear for my team EVER not even against normal trainer battles but hey the trainers should be a breeze there just cannon fodder like the grunts from halo there nothing to worry about now should you take it to the elite 4...no sorry but no once i will tell you guys that you need 3 things to beat the elite 4 attack this pokemon can have a good attack if you Ev train it speed this pokemon once again can have good speed if you Ev train it and you need a type advantage this pokemon has nearly no type advantage for nearly all of the elite 4's in every pokemon game i have played so sorry umbreon but...no

Final thought:well...this pokemon is not bad for a dark type not at all but if you compare it to every pokemon in the pokedex its kind of sluggish granted that defense and special defense is going to be great and since its not weak to many types most things in the game should be a cake walk but its still technically bad its moveset is bad its tms are worse and its...somewhat okay for gyms and you rival so i guess i could recommend it so i technically have to give it a bad rating but before i do that i just want you guys to know i do recommend it i do like it and i do think its a good pokemon just try to ignore the rating a little on this one its just facts and numbers not my actual emotion...well mostly ...

Final Rating:3/5
(after much consideration i changed the rating to 3/5 instead of 2.5/5

I think Umbreon is great! I think you really underrated him. He has a ton of speed and a lot of special defense. He can do some decent damage as well.

No offensive but if you know recent threads that you have made similar to this get's closed why do you continue to make them? Honestly there is no point to making these threads all of this information is on Bulbapedia and if someone really wanted to know about a specific Pokemon or get a un-bias based report on a Pokemon they would go there, also no real discussion can come out of these threads.

Divine Aurora : well i guess i just like doing these plus i already talked to some mods about it and this technically does not count as spam...its pretty close to it but i have had not any of my reviews get closed yet so...yeah thats my answer.
