Hello, and welcome to Cheato 64. I will be reviewing ways to do little cheats within the game only for Nintendo 64 games. However, when this series is done, I may do Nintendo Entertainment System OR Super Nintendo Entertainment System game cheats. Anyways, here's the list. I'll try to put them in very good order. 1. Warp Mario Location: Bob-Omb Battlefield So this is a pretty simple and explanatory cheat. I recommend trying these two out on the race with Koopa the Slow to try to get a good record on time. So where all the rocks are, and where the Koopa that drops a blue coin is, there should be a patch of flowers. Should you stand in them, you will warp to the patch of flowers that is located right next to the cannon you can use to blast yourself to the summit, unless you're racing Koopa the Quick. But in this level, there is another warp. On the mountain, at one point, there will be a hole in the mountainside. Should you hop into it, you will warp to the summit.
2. 'Go Mario Go!' Location: Bob-Omb Battlefield
This is going to be the last cheat for this course. So. Where the seventh red coin is, if you get them in order, there is a slippery slope. You can just walk up that to skip a lot of the mountain, making things a lot easier. Mario may run slow on the slope, but it's faster than just holding Zed, then moving around with the analog stick up the slope.
3. Cutting Your Corners Location: Whomp Fortress
Yeah, that's right, cutting your corners. It is quite literal. If you go to where the thwomps and that sleeping piranha plant is, you will see a whomp across you. If you just do a triple jump towards that direction then dive while you're sliding, you can easily make it to the end to fight King Whomp/complete mission two/get up to the top to get to the floating islands.
4. Who Needs Cannons? Location: Whomp Fortress
Okay, this one has to be one of my favorites. Clearly, it has to be. Should you walk up to the left of where the shallow water is, and see a cannon, but also see the star in the distance. Walk under the pillar that is supporting the star, move a little bit to the left or right, and just double jump, then wall jump to get up to the star in Shoot to the Wild Blue. Keep this in mind if you want to try to do a speed run of this game.
5. Power Fart Location: Whomp Fortress
Okay, the title may sound weird, but it actually makes sense as of what you must do to pull this cheat off. Keep in mind, this is sorta just a glitch, but it can still work, trust me! So you know where that wall is where you get into the cannon, and shoot yourself to the corner of the wall? Screw that! Just walk to the corner, keep crouching, and you will glitch through the wall and obtain your star! 6. Shiny In Da Cage Location: Whomp Fortress
Let this be the last one for Whomp Fortress, and it is. On the mission where you fall into the cage using the owl, just go to the floating isles, then time your triple jump, dive if you need to, and you can just roll into the cage (Which is a mission in Tick Tock Clock! He he).
7. Metal Caps? Nope.avi Location: Jolly Roger Bay
This one has got to be the hardest trick to pull off other than glitching through the fish tank in the room of the Jolly Roger Bay painting. Also bear in mind that this can be pulled off in the Through the Jet Stream from Dire Dire Docks as well. Anyways, to pull this off, simply swim where the star is, don't move at all, or just keep swimming right to the star. You will get pushed away, then you can glitch through and get your star!
8. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Location: Cool Cool Mountain
Sorry if I offended anybody with the title of this cheat, it was too good to resist. On Slip Slide Away, where you see those five coins headed to that frosty wall, simply just follow the yellow coin road! You will go through the wall like a god, two 1-ups will greet you, and there is no way you can die in the cheating route.
9. Warp Mario 2: Return of the Plumber Location: Cool Cool Mountain
*Infomercial guy voice* Are you too lazy to get to the bottom of the mountain to get the red coins there? Yes, I am! Well don't fret little player, because there is...*normal voice* a teleporter. When you enter the level, you will see a broken bridge if you walk to the right. Stand on the edge of it, you will warp to the bottom of the mountain letting you get four red coins close to each other.
10. It only takes one 'yahoo'... Location: Cool Cool Mountain
On the mission, Wall Kicks Won't Work, to get to the secret mountainside as of where the star is, simply just walk to the ledge of where you spawn, long jump, hold up, and you'll land where the star is easily. Well, not ON the star, you still have to do the wall jumps.
Okay, I will stop here. There will be a part two. Each thread of this series will have ten categories. See you on Cheato Super Mario 64!
