Hello, and welcome to a review for Super Wario World, as I call it. The ROM hack of Super Mario World made by Lunar Magic that doesn't abuse invisible coin blocks! You know, I haven't really beaten the game, but I decided to make a review for this ROM. This is the second review for this specific ROM, and I thought this was top notch hacking! The fat and greedy Wario is now the main character! Enjoy the following content.

Story: 5/10

Like any other Wario game, Wario is really greedy. Now you'd think this would be about Wario rescuing Mona from Wario Ware. NOPE. Here's the story, folks! In Wario's anticlimactic version of the Mushroom Kingdom, Bowser sneaks into Wario's home and steals all of Wario's money and jewelry. Leaving enemies in Wario's house (or those are just angry neighbors that hated the Wario Land series), Bowser goes along to his castle to hoard Wario's loot that was earned from Wario's latest game Game and Wario! Now Wario must confront Bowser in a fight to get his loot back, but challenging levels block him from doing so right away. Eight action packed worlds will be explored to reach Bowser once and for all! However, if you're playing with two player mode, Wario AND Waluigi will do this task together. While Wario questioning Waluigi's existance, the adventure begins! You know, this story fits Wario, but I would still rate it a low number. I thought for a great hack such as this, more depth would be offered to the story than that. At least the game is still good...

Graphics: 8/10

The graphics in this game are the same as the graphics in Super Mario World. However, I think it is a good time to explain the textures of the characters. Wario is a colored version of Mario, but has an eyebrow to make it so Wario and also Waluigi have that face that Conker makes in Conker's Bad Fur Day. Goombas, however, the graphics for the goombas are remarkable. They have new sprites in this ROM hack. Koopas now have black, blue, purple, and yellow shells. Yoshis are now Purple, Black, and that's pretty much it. The Rex has a lighter texture of blue on its skin. Coins are a shade of yellow, as well as the blocks that replaced the brick block in the original Super Mario World. There's not really much to explain about the graphics. They're the same compared to Super Mario World, but this ROM just has re-textures. You can get a good look at Wario on the pictures above the ratings I gave for this review. Looks like I've said enough. Let's move on to the next category...

Sound: 8/10

Honestly, for this category I really can't say much. There's no original sound effects for this hack. It's the same as the original Super Mario World. Kinda disappointing. I really like ROM hacks of Mario games that have custom music or sound effects. So don't just look at this category and say, "Ohhh, you suck at reviewing! You should have added more to sound!" Whatever, let's just get to the next category, and yes I can actually write MORE about it...

Replay-ability: 9/10

This is more addicting than that 'VIP 4' hack I reviewed (A majority of you probably never even saw that review of mine. It was my longest review). With all the depth offered, and new textures, and great level design, this ROM can get pretty addicting from time to time. The developer for this ROM probably cared about how addicting the ROM was. Take back anything from what I said about how disappointing it was to not have custom music in this ROM, and this ROM will sound really addicting. Since I don't really go in the Retro Game Room that much, this is one of the only games I actually like to play on Vizzed. Like I said, the level design is really well done which plays a big role in how addicting this hack is. I can't...stop...playing....nobody panic, but I think my thumb is stuck to the X button on my Logitech PC controller...

Depth: 9/10

Ah, the longest part of my review. Explaining how much depth this game offers. That's because I review games with a lot of depth to them (Spoiler, my next review won't have much to it. Let's just say it will be a little bit of Pong!). But let's not be hasty, but let the longest category begin. All right, where do I start? I guess this should have been explained in graphics, but I'll just put it here anyways. Power-ups also have custom textures. Mushrooms are black and white mushrooms with an angry face to reference Wario Land. Fire Flowers are textured to be the Hammer Bro Suit from Super Mario Bros 3. Heck, even the fireballs in this ROM are textured to look like hammers. Aaaand, I didn't get to any levels with a Power Star or Cape, because my file corrupt, and I lost all my data. I did also forget to mention that the background for the levels have also been re-textured. Aaand P Switches are light blue. About the P Switch in this ROM, there's something unique about that. If left on the ground as one of the entities, it will disappear if left on the ground long enough. Also, Dinosaur Coins look like Bob-ombs....in this ROM, the maps have been changed. And I can say that they look a lot better. There's even a W on the lake in the first world map. I also forgot to mention Chucks now look like actual koopas with Chuck football suits. What I found interesting while playing the ROM is that in World two, since the dots that represent the levels are on the vine that you climb up until you get to the top, the levels actually have vines where you spawn. The level CONNECTS to the map. Interesting, huh? Yeah, I know it is. As I've said in the very beginning of this review, the levels are challenging. The levels are pretty hard, which I will go more into when we get to difficulty. None of he boss battles have been re-textured as far as I know, there is no new power-ups, no new enemies, and nothing else that's new to the Super Mario World game.

Difficulty: 7/10

The levels in this hack are pretty challenging, but they're not like the Super Kaizo World levels. Those ones are DREADFUL. These levels are a bit harder, and it's pretty challenging to not use save states throughout one world. I'd like to see somebody try that, actually. But anyways, because of this, the aquatic levels are actually ENJOYABLE. The castles are dreadful, and don't get me started on the last level of the whole hack. Good luck doing that one without cheats. I guess you could expect a real challenge from a Wario game. The Wario Land games had pretty hardcore levels. With hard levels, this ROM is a good challenge for those who seek one in a hacked or homebrew game.

Overall: 9.2/10

With a decent difficulty, lots of depth, travelling through the Heavens, a lake, and a forest, this game is addicting and overall, I give the hack a good rating. This hack is, like I said, done by a top notch hacker. I'm surprised thou could put this together. Not as surprise as I was with VIP 4, but this ROM is pretty great if I do say so myself.

I was unable to read the whole review because font glitches, but one the plus side, the bits I read were good.

Don't worry about it this has happened to me on a few occasions. If you don't know what I am talking about, the text was black in places where it should be the automatic color. The way to solve this is to edit it, copy the review and paste it into word or notepad, then copy and paste it back into the post editor.

Pretty good review, Although I think a little parts were uneeded such as"Ohhh, you suck at reviewing! You should have added more to sound!"

I don't really think that was needed because naturally you're reviews get lots of postive feedback.

Even for this review, it's easy simple, and good to read. you're at a good start regardless.

Only question Why is some of the text black while most of it is white?

I'll give this review a 4 out of 5.
Keep it up!

tgags123 : I just don't get as much good feedback like a review from SuperCrash or anybody else.

SuperCrash64 : As you know, Mudkip made the text on this layout light blue. Because I was swapping text colors, that happened to come to be.

B619ook : Yes. Yes, you should play this game...
