Well I recently bought SoulSilver cause the GSC series was one of my absolute favorites.

2 things i feel like sharing with everyone.

I have the worst luck considering right after releasing the Legendary Trio, I immediately run into Raikou when I go out to train -.- Level 21's can't exactly help me capture him >.>

At least it'll be helpful in tracking him down later on.

My main questions though is, I kinda forgot how bad the EXP. curve in this region is. I haven't challenged Morty yet, but my team is roughly level 21. Where should I train since I need a lot of EXP.

Thanks in advance and this is for SoulSilver not regular Silver, a lot has changed.

I would train just south of Ecruteak, the wild Stantler there give a good amount of EXP. I would train your Pokemon until they are all about Lvl. 26 before you challenge Morty.

Well, since you are not playing on an emulator, grinding's gonna take quite a long time for you. But basically, just grind. I take it you have fought all the trainers in the area? If you have, then just grind.

Yeah I have fought everyone.

I managed to grind up until level 25 and I have a good mix of types so I'm confident I can beat Morty.

And I've been playing Pokemon for about 13 years now.

My current team is

Quilava, Flaaffy, Heracross and Fearow.

Fearow is going to be my trump card against Morty. His Ghost types can't really hurt him too much due to Normal typing

ignavusd : That's one solid team! Have you considered trying to obtain a Slowpoke from Slowpoke Well? It served me well going through the game (when I did not choose Totodile as a starter). His psychic attacks can really help you out with Morty too. Other than that, I bet Morty's gonna be easy for you anyway.
