Pokegeek : Yeah, I think they get paid a little too much. I think Hockey players should get more money too. The athletes in Hockey work hard, and they deserve some more recognition kinda like American Football players do. Because, honestly, Football players get a big hunk of cash.

II believe that football players are definitely overpaid.

I agree football players are overpaid some kickers and safeties average about 3.1 million dollars a game perhaps even more then that amount while we only donate a dollar to charity.having ten thousand dollars is probably enough to set a person for life but a million is just ridiculous.

I think yes they need to man up! Footballers trip over and act like they've broken leg and then you see rugby players get thrown over and fall really bad and they just get up and get on with the game  

It disheartens me that people who save lives like firefighters and other emergency response workers get paid less than a guy who throws a ball.

Folks, this is what's called economics.  A football player can make a team and it's business millions per year.  Of course they'll get paid more.  Teachers don't bring in much income into a school district and anyone can go to class and learn to be a teacher.  They're paid much less.  Anyone can be a police officer, fight in the Army, and be a nurse.  Football players and other pro athletes have unique skill sets that make a tremendous amount of money for their profession.  I think they don't paid enough considering what owners get and the abuse football players go through on a weekly basis.

All sports are grinds and the life expectancy of many players is severely reduced.  These guys kill themselves and they get only a fraction of what the owners make.  If people didn't pay as much attention to the sport and pay such outrageous costs for jerseys, kits, tickets, and beer sold at the stadiums, players would make less.

But people spend their money and the owners are making cash hand over fist.  Players don't get paid that much.

Yes because why should someone who is great at football receive a 100 million dollar contract for catching a ball and running into other people? It kind of seems outrageous to me. At least pay them a little less than that, it is way too much.

eh I personally think all celebs are overpaid, of course they're over paid and it's why everyones going for these kind of jobs instead of the important ones now.
