I'm pretty sure that all you guys think that bubsy is one of the most annoying characters in existence, I mean, heck! He even got his own freaking cartoon series! But In my opinion, I think he is not that annoying! And you guys are about to see why, I mean, yeah, sure he talks alot and whatnot, but whatever! This is bubsy for the Sega genesis.

Story-7/10
The story behind in this adventure is pretty simple to be honest, the plot is that one day in the forest, This energetic bobcat by the name of bubsy is happily chilling in his home, and then out of the blue one day, These evil aliens called woolies have came to the earth to steal all of the balls of yarn left! It is know your job to retrieve all the balls back and help bubsy return home safely!

Gameplay-7/10
Bubsy is a pretty simple platformer to be honest, you control the main lead character, bubsy, a highly energetic bobcat, as you run through these big action packed levels collecting yarn balls and defeating enemies along the way, The controls are pretty simple for a genesis game, A is jump, and well that is pretty much it! Bubsy really does not have any special attacks armed with him! Just a little jump, I know it is not the best choice for a video game character, but at least it is the most acceptable! Each level is packed with stuff to collect, and these include yarn balls which will increase your score, shirts with exclamation marks on them which will give you an extra life, and so on. Bubsy runs pretty fast for a bobcat! In fact, he runs so fast that you can barely keep up with the screen! Now the problem with this is that sometimes you can jump so high that you end dying instantly, yes, this game kills you if you fall from a big height, Way before Mario 64 started doing it! Each level is also packed with shortcuts to take which will lead you through hidden parts of a level, these can mostly lead to you extra balls, yarn, etc. Anyways, that is all I can say for the gameplay!

Graphics-8/10
This game was released in 1992, this was one of the earlier years of the Sega genesis, and for what it is worth, It doesn't look all that bad! All the worlds and level that you will be exploring are big, vast, and bursting with color! Which makes exploring them even more fun then usual! As for the characters, they look pretty darn good as well! Bubsy is a bobcat with an exclamation mark on his shirt, the woolies look like your typical aliens, and so on! I must say accolade did an amazing job with this game! The HUD is pretty self explanatory as well, It shows you how many lives you have left, your amount of yarn balls, and your score for the entire game.

Sound-7/10
When you boot up the game, you get some pretty darn happy sounding music that helps you prepare for the overall mood of the game, which is a big happy forest of all sorts and the main start of our bobcat's adventure! But oh well, the sound in this game is actually pretty good! All the songs you will be hearing in each level sound really bright happy and cartoony, which is something to expect from games like this! Now as for the sound effects, they are OK, There are sound effects, but they are really quiet and can't be heard that well, But for what there is, there are mostly boings, booms, tinks, and a bunch of other ones....

Addictiveness-7/10
I remember the first day I played this game, I did not know what to expect at all! But when I did play it, I was instantly sucked in to this big cartoony world! The game has alot going for it and I can really tell! Well yeah, the game was an early genesis title, But who cares? The game is at least better then that other cursed genesis game I reviewed last time, you know, the one where Mickey mouse is a wizard who must navigate through treacherous worlds trying to defeat enemies but forgetting that you have to press up before jumping in order to actually kill them? Yeah, I know that one, "Shivers"

Depth-6/10
To be honest with you here, the game is actually pretty long and offers alot for you to go through! I mean first, the game is about 15 levels long, so you can most likely beat it in about 1 hour, the game isn't the longest adventure in the genesis library, but at least it is fun to play all the time!

Difficulty-7/10
Here is one of the game's really high points! The difficulty level! I remembered playing this for the first time and being rather disgusted by how everything is trying to kill you! But never the less, If you can get through all of those problems without screaming, then the game should be pretty darn easy for you!

I know what you guys are going to say! You guys are going to criticize me for actually liking this guy, but to be honest he actually is a pretty cool cat with attitude! I mean sure he got his own cartoon and whatnot but that doesn't mean you guys should hate on him so much! I gave this game an 8.1 because how much fun it offers and the big length, so just buy this game! You won't be dissapointed! Anyways this has been my 96th review everybody! Let's try to get to 100 on thursday!
