Which is your favorite source of power? Which would you like to see more of in the movies? What would happen if these items fought each other(this one has always made me curious)? Discuss!

I would like to play a game that covers the "M'Kraan Crystal" from the X-Men Comics.
The other item is unknown to me. I googled a few things and came up with a cube that was named in the 1880's on "Wiki",.... The Cosmic Cube in Marvel Comics, and The Infinity Gauntlet Images (again Marvel comics).

I dig the Phoenix stuff and have more info on it so I have to side with the "M'Kraan" item.
I dig the use of the Infinity Gauntlet in the Marvel Superheroes Arcade Game, and would love to play an adventure with these items as Key Plot elements or devices.

Movies?
???
I already read the Comics.
Good Times but I have no opinion on a movie with this stuff. (The Comics just seem far to Better.)

But Video Games?
I think there is a ton of potential to tell these tales here.
It could take a week or a month to play a video game. (If they made them right. None of that 4 hour crap.)
These tales took up the space of a year waiting for each issue monthly.

With Movies?
It is done with in 90 minutes. (On Average.)
There is no time for foreplay.
And that's the key problem with stuff that was intended for the 1970's generation Comics. Allot of it does not translate well onto film if too many elements are rushed or left out.
Think of it like this.
The Comic Book Writer's of those days had no idea their stuff would ever be on the big screen. At the same time their audience was not allowed to see many things on the big screen. So if a bad movie came out and did a tale poorly? It could be done with success with a better writer in comics. Plus it could go on for a year. (As opposed to 90 minutes.)
That is just one of the many bonus factors of comics.
They can make Hollywood failures work.
And work better.

Which "Rock" is Better?
I have no idea.
I only know of the odd shape the "Tesseract" makes.
No one has printed anything that I have read that gives me any info on it.
Fun Chat.
Good Luck.
Peace.

orionfoxgibson : I personally prefer the M'Kraan Crystal myself. It can actually be used to travel through time. The Tesseract, more or less, is used to travel through space. I do think it made a decent plot device in the Avengers movie though.

I'd like to see how they would use the M'Kraan Crystal in the movies. While movies may only last 90 minutes, if done right, a series of movies could tell a story just as good as a comic book could & the wait for a new movie would be longer than the wait for a comic book was. The story for a comic might take a whole year to finish but the wait between movie sequels would be at least a year & the story may not be complete yet.

I like where your head is at with the dividing of movies and Comics.
But
If a Movie Flops?
No more are made.
In Comics?
They can flop and next month they will kick @$$ again.
The Difference?
Millions of Dollars. Millions.
For comics the formula or team of one dude does the Sketch art, another for basic plot and tale, another for inking the art, another for letters and Fonts, another for colors, and then the editor.
It can get real creative real fast. It is closer to a Band getting on stage to play a set.
With a movie?
So many people. Too many people.
If one actor is not right for one day? The film is Wasted. If the music team took a day off? The film is wasted. There are so many more people to organize that it would be an insane mess to get any creativity into it due to the fact that it is hard enough to get one thing done to the letter with a group that big.

Imagine if the Matrix 2 was so bad the third never got released?

Same goes for Indy Jones and the Temple of Doom.

How about a Tarantino Movie? If Any of his early works were bad? We would never have even seen "Kill Bill".

There are so many ways for a movie to go wrong that I have to explain the beauty of art printed on a page with a few typed word balloons goes a little further and has greater Impact than a movie can. Besides. If you did not like the issue when you where done reading it? You could always use the pages as a dust bin to help sweep up the apartment.

A movie ticket or D.V.D.?
................
Good Luck Getting Something extra out of that.

I am glad you have read your Phoenix Saga ... Or did you just watch the Cartoon on T.V. like so many kids have?

(((((((((((((SPOILER ALERT))))))))))))))))))))

Did you see the part where Jean Dies?

(((((((((((((END OF SPOILER)))))))))))))))))))

No?
Read the Classic Comics.

...........................
It is so much fun remembering the differences.
Even if I have you figured all wrong. I want to thank you in advance. I forgot that stuff for so long.
One of my favourite Covers of The X-Men has Cyclopse leaving the X-Men and it has been Repeated so many times due to how impactful the covers can be for sales and the fact that it strikes a nerve in fans. Rarely can a moving Image do the Same tricks that a single page can do.
Why do you think allot of movies have slow-motion action sequences? So much is going on that you really can not enjoy the full picture of a single moment with its entire beauty by glancing through it so bluntly.

With a comic it can take just one turn of a page and find yourself stunned for weeks over one moment.
Rarely did movies do this for me when I was young. (Guess I had no soul then either.)
Any way...
Thanks again for the conversation.
