Hello and welcome to the game where I discus the Super Mario World Rom Hack where it isn't Super Mario World. Its Luigi's turn to have a shot to shine in the spotlight. That's right. Luigi gets to be part of the spot light in a Super Mario World game. That rarely happens. Luigi is so happy. He has been sad and miserable for years. Now he finally has a chance to be the hero. This is Luigi's New Adventure Mario Is Missing 2  and this is for the SNES. I do plan to review the first one if I can find it on this site. So I decided to interview Luigi and asked for what he thought about this. He responded: I find that when I have a spot in the spotlight I am much happier than when I am not in the spotlight.


Story 6/10

Bowser has become so tired of kidnapping Princess Peach because the fact is Mario always wins and always reclaims Princess Peach. Now Bowser has let Princess Peach go and has now figured to kidnap Mario because Bowser thinks Luigi isn't as good as Mario. Sadly there is no two player mode in this game so you can't play Mario. Since if you could play as Mario that would be defeating the purpose of playing this ROM hack and it would probably become impossible. This is because Luigi can jump higher than Mario. It would still be possible but the truth is that you will need to be a Mario expert as you will need to wall jump.

Game play 8/10

You get to jump so high but not high enough that the timer stops. Besides every level has a roof so even if you try to jump out of the level you will always come back down. You can jump about 100 Y with a normal jump and around 80 Y with a spin jump if you go at full speed. The controls for everything else is the same. Except you go slightly slower than Mario. The power ups in this game work a bit differently as well. The fire balls are harder to effectively use because they always go straight.


Graphics 10/10

The guy who created this game mainly used this own blocks and sprites. The dragon coins from Super Mario World is basically a flower in this game. There are not many blocks that are from super mario world. The only sprites that are from Super Mario World in this game are the coins, the mushroom, yoshi, the fire flower and the one up mushrooms. If iirc the text boxs are the cloud blocks in this game. Even the main goal points in this game is different and that is what makes the graphics in this game so unique.

Sound 9/10

The sound in this game is chosen by the creator of the game and is relevant to the area of the level you are in. Or the world area since there are a ?few worlds in this game. (I am up to world 3.)?

Addictiveness: 10/10

There is a lot of levels. (nearly 10 levels in each world) assuming there is 8 worlds there is 80 levels. Each level takes nearly two minutes to complete at where I'm at (1 minute for world 1 and 100 seconds in world 2) there is at least 500 minutes of playing time in total or even more because I need to save and load my save file. So I kind of do guess that I will need to take that into account. The secrets in this game (theres about 5 to 10 in total) are very hard to find. So if you go on a hunt for the secret levels you're going to spend a good few hours before you can find them all.?

Depth 8/10

As I said before there is a lot of levels and the time you take to complete each level does get longer as you go to the next world. So if you go for 100% on this game (i.e beating all levels including the secret levels, 99 life's and max score) you're going to be looking at around over 10 hours on this game. To get 99 lifes the quickest way is to grind sugar island 2 (the second level in the first world) there is a pipe in the level. Its about 5 seconds after where you spawn. It is a green pipe. If you have gotten the checkpoint (a green block with a c on it.) In this green pipe will be nothing much at first but there will be a yellow block. This has a p switch in it. Jump on it press a and do a ton of spin jumps. If you continue to do this right you can yield a profit of 2 life's every run. There may be times when you gain a profit of 3 life's a run but this may not happen often.?

Difficulty 8/10

The game gets hard half way through the second world. I am on world 3 and it does get pretty hard at certain times on the maps. It does get very hard soon afterwards. If there is 8 worlds in this game I would hate to see world 6 to 8. I would assume that they would probably be pit levels. Or kaizo levels. One or the other. The further you go in this game the better you need to time things. As in world 3 there will be more volcano lotus and bullet bill cannons and these go off every 10 seconds or so.?

Regardless of whether you are or not any good at Mario/Luigi Super Mario??World ROM Hacks I strongly suggest to you that you must play this game. When I played this game I was good at Mario Games but thanks to how far I am in this game I am now very good. Although there is one problem and that is the fact as you get further in the game you need to time things better.?

Nicely done! I played a few Mario games and I have to say having Luigi save Mario Instead of Mario saving Princess Peach. I think Luigi finally got his break! Besides this you did good on the thousand + words though! So you did great ! It was good and easy to read which I like to see in a review! Any way keep up the good work!
