We've had the same guy with at LEAST 2 different alts come into the emerald game spamming and the past few days there's been a heavy influx of young people spamming in general. The Alt guy has been harassing us for 3+ hours at this point and has even threatened to report me when I called him out on both his age(says hes 17. hes not.) AND the fact he blamed a non existential brother for the spammy stuff.

If there is not an ignore feature there REALLY should be one and I don't understand why there isn't one already? I know that a word like "this....". and doing things like,this gets you labeled a spammer and you can't post more then 3 times but it does nothing for the ACTUAL spammers. It just hurts the people trying to have honest discussions who mis-type or use lots of dots as pauses...

have you reported them?
the mods can go through chat logs and see whos causing problems, I had to do it several times when I was a mod.
dont think your wasting their time, its their job.

How do you do that? I've been here just for the games, sad to say this is both my first two posts AND my first thread...The spamming has been horrifically bad lately though...


Still think an ignore feature would be good though. That way they stop instantly instead of waiting a day+ and spamming that entire time..

click private message ( left side of notifications bar.
click new message.
click the appropriate mod button, either rgr or local mod.

in your message tell them who was misbehaving, what they did wrong and give them a link to the place.
e.g if its pokemon leaf green give them the url to that game and they will check the chat.
its also helpfull if you give a link to their profile because you can check all the game comments they have made from there.
if they are swearing, annoying other users or being a general nuisance they get a warning or ban depending on the severity.
if theyre stupid enough to then hurl abuse at the mod thats going to see them booted too.
also if they have multiple accounts (it seemed you were suggesting that), thats against site rules, so give the urls of their profiles.
theres an ignore feauture in the site chatrooms, it would be sensible to allow it for the rgr too but I dont think vizzed uses its own rooms for the general chat.

fairyneko : Why not just play without the chat? It makes life a lot easier, plus it makes the screen bigger. If you're not fine with that, what thenumberone said. . .

Next time someone acts up I'll do that! Thank you~ It WOULD just be easier to have an ignore in the chats themselves though. so only the most serious offenses would need a mod...But it WOULD be hard to give each game it's own chat on here without probably doubling server fees..*sigh*


pixel: because I get bored and until the spammers and trolls and "lalalala! I am so right and you are so wrong!" people come along I can actually find decent conversation. I've had two awesome convsersations derailed again today early early this morning.


edit: opening up a non-chat game the game is NOT bigger. which is curious as it would make sense to be a bigger screen without chat....o.O;
