A new movie with Superman and Batman together is going to be made.

Honestly?
I gave up reading my comics back in 2001.
So,..
The movies all look good to me. X-men, Wolverine, Blade, Batman, and all are cool flicks to see.

Because it was hinted that they may use Frank Millers version of Batman Vs Superman?
I would pay money to see it.

One of Nerd News Reporters that I mentioned had a small fit due to being a Superman fan.
I can understand but there are so many great Superman Movies already. There does not need to be another Lone Superman Flick before they do this kind of show.

Besides.
The flick is not out yet and we might be surprised by what comes out.
I would never change a thing about doing a Frank Miller version of Batman and Superman.
But that's just me.
And Hollywood and I do not have the same opinions on much.

I am also not a big Superman Fan. So, my opinion may be a tad one sided. Who knows? I may have grown out of traditional comics all together.

Like I said before.
I gave up reading nearly all comics in 2001. (I still read one a month.) I still check the news on comics but I do not have the money or time to get nee deep invested in it again.
As a result the movies have been better. (Bonus: Cost me way less money.)

So, give us your thoughts, Opinions, or whatever on "The New Batman and Superman Movie".
Slated to be made in 2015?

P.S. This is the second time I have heard of Hollywood doing this. Lets hope this movie gets made.

orionfoxgibson : My friend made a mention of that to me today, and it doesn't exactly excite me that much. I'm not much of a Batman fan, and while The Man of Steel was pretty decent, it isn't anything I would call a classic. I'm happy they're doing this for their fans, though! I think it's definitely a good thing for the movie industry to produce a movie like this, provided that it's quality.

A new movie with superman and batman, I assume the superman from the man of steel and the batman from the dark night trilogy if DC is using that versions of the famous superheros then this movie will be epic! I look forward to it and I believe DC is going to make a justice league movie.

Divine Aurora : Christian Bale said he won't be doing Batman anymore. He stated it and it shall be so.

Honestly, I don't like it, They're on completely different classes of power. Are they gonna b fighting each other or what ? I just don't like the sound of it.

I haven't read Millers' Batman & Superman, but other movies based on his work are fantastic.

To make another movie with batman will be very very hard, as everyone will compare it to Nolan's... and that was on a whole new lever. But a Frank Miller movie might work.

Light Knight :

The only major issue I would have with Hollywood doing a Frank Miller Version of This Flick Is the Original took place in a not too distant future where Batman should be too old to be Batman.

Hollywood is notorious for favouring the youth when casting. (In spite of the "R.E.D." movies and "The Expendables" Flicks.)

One of the ideas of the Batman is that it is not a job that a person who is qualified for can walk away from.

Quite often Hollywood tends to lean on insulting anyone over 30 if they were to be in an action film. (Lethal Weapon. "I'm too old for this Riggs.")

Today the timing could be right but if Hollywood goes back to releasing a bunch of films that insult people over 30?
It could be a problem.

And The audience has to accept a new Batman to boot?
I think that they would scrap the idea of an older Batman and go with a younger one.
And that just destroys allot of good ground that Miller was covering with the Batman.

But

I still like the idea of there being a direct difference in a Movie and Frank Millers Original Work. I just do not think there is a sane way of making Millers tale as short as 90 minutes.
So, the idea can work. And work well.
I would love to see what they come up with.
The number one reason I gave up reading allot of comics was to enjoy the movies more and have no expectation.
That opens the doors to all kinds of brilliance and entertainment. (Plus, I kinda grew out of allot of comics. I just need time and money for me and the people in my life. Priorities change with age. Plus I have my own tales to tell. Why read about some fake idea of heroes and villains when real life is so much more fun to discuss?)
AGAIN. No expectation = Fun.
(Am I the only guy that liked the Wolverine movie and all the X-Men flicks? Am I the only dude that enjoyed Sin City even though it was not nearly long enough? I tend to think I was not alone.)

I'll tell you how this is going to work. If it is the Dark Knight batman, then we are all saved. If they are going back to the original 1989 batman, then we better be scared because the actor has to be really good, as well as imitate the great acting that the original batman did. And, as far a superman goes, I think that if the new man of steel superman does it, and he is witty while interacting with batman, but having a strong bond, then the movie should do fine. I will check out this movie nonetheless.  

I don't care. I don't really like Superman, and I HATE Batman, so I really couldn't care less about this. NOT a movie I will be seeing.

    Since the Dark Knight Trilogy and the Man of Steel movies look and are fantastic movies then I think a movie starring them both would be great too. So long as Christian Bale plays Batman and Nolan directs it and with music from Hans Zimmer.

orionfoxgibson : Wow, I was thinking of that exact scene when he said he doesn't like men in tights. The version of the movie I grew up watching was taped of the TV and the bleeped out "pansies" and "butch". Seriously.

Mia03 : It won't happen. Bale and Nolan both said they are done with bathman. But I suppose there is a small chance that Bale comes back.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's scored by Hans Zimmer.

Man of Steel was not a bad film. I mean, sure, I fell asleep more often than I would with most films, the fight scene went on way too long, there was no real joy to it, and it screwed up some key aspects of Superman, such as the fact that, outside of the new movie Man of Steel, Superman never kills anyone unless he ABSOLUTELY is forced to.
I thought all of the movies in the Batman: Dark Knight trilogy, including Dark Knight Rises, were quite good. While I was a little disappointed with Dark Knight Rises (for similar reasons as Man of Steel), it was still an incredibly well-produced and epic Batman film.
I would like to see these two film styles merged together with Superman and Batman, but I'm not sure how well it will be executed.
