Here is a complete guide to all of the unlockable characters and stages in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

CHARACTERS:
You can unlock all of the characters by playing through the Subspace Emissary, but that's too easy for some. For those who like to unlock characters the old-fashioned way, there are alternate methods. 

Also, a general tip for those who want to unlock all the characters quickly: go into Special Brawl under Brawl mode and turn flowers on, and make it a stamina match. Then, put a handicap of 1 HP on the CPU of choice. When you start the match, the CPU will instantly die, and you will win. Do this for a while until you've unlocked all the characters. 

Captain Falcon
- Complete Classic Mode on normal in twelve minutes or less. Or, play 70 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle.

I'd go the way of Classic mode to unlock him. Honestly, 12 minutes is more than enough time.

Falco
- Complete 100-Man Brawl. Or, play 100 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle.

Ganondorf
- Complete classic Mode on hard difficulty using either Zelda or Link. Or, play 200 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle.

Jigglypuff*
- Complete Classic Mode or complete Event Match #20 or play 350 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle.

Lucario
- Complete Target Smash on all 5 difficulties or play 100 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle.

Luigi
- Complete Classic Mode using no continues. Or, play 100 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle.

Marth
- Complete Classic Mode. Or, play 10 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle.

Mr. Game & Watch
- Complete Target Smash with 30 different characters. Or, play 250 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle.

Ness
- Reflect ten projectiles in battle, then defeat him in battle. Or, play 5 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle.

R.O.B.
- Get 250 different trophies. Or, play 160 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle.

Snake
- Play fifteen matches in Brawl mode on Shadow Moses Island. Or, play 130 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle.

Sonic
- Complete Classic Mode with ten different characters or brawl for ten total hours. Or, play 300 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle.

Toon Link*
- Clear Subspace Emissary and then clear classic mode with anyone on any difficulty. Or, play 400 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle.

Wolf*
- Clear Subspace Emissary, and then complete Boss Battle Mode using Fox or Falco. Or, play 450 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle.


*The way to unlock Toon Link, Wolf, and Jigglypuff in the Subspace Emissary is different. After you beat Tabuu, there are new doors in the Swamp, Ruins, and Forest stages. enter them to fight one of these three characters. if you win, you unlock them!

STAGES:

75m
-Play 20 matches as Donkey Kong in Brawl mode.

Big Blue (Melee)
-Play 10 matches as Captain Falcon in Brawl mode.

Flat Zone 2
-Unlock Mr. Game & Watch

Pirate Ship
-Unlock Toon Link

Green Greens
-Play 20 matches as Kirby in Brawl mode.

Green Hill Zone
-Unlock Sonic

Hanenbow
-Complete Event #28

Jungle Japes
-Play on any Melee stage 10 times in Brawl mode.

Luigi's Mansion
-Play 3 matches as Luigi in Brawl mode.

Mario Bros.
-Complete Event #28

Pokémon Stadium
-Play 10 matches on Pokémon Stadium 2 in Brawl mode.

Spear Pillar
-Complete Event #25
