Let's start the review off with the story line!
Story:9.5
One day, there is a celebration at Peach's castle to commemorate the Mushroom Kingdom and the Beanbean Kingdom becoming allies. But the ambassador doesn't show, but a creepy cloaked woman. She has a gift for Princess Peach among her very hands. Peach opens it, and out comes a strange head that's green and has swirls in it's eyes. It sprays noxious gas onto Princess Peach, which makes her pass out. The "ambassador" known as Cackaletta, which gave Peach the gift, and Fawful, her lone assistant steal Peach's voice, and ?takes off to the Beanbean Kingdom to use Peach's voice to retrieve the 'Bean Star' which can grant who uses it great power. When Mario, Luigi, and Bowser find Peach, they find that when she talks, explosives suddenly appear. "EXPLOSIVE VOCABULARY." Then the three decide teaming up is the only way to solve the problem.
Difficulty:8.9
The difficulty is good for any aged gamer, as it is easy at first, but gets a tad harder at the end. What makes up the difficulty are, boss battles, enemies, obstacles, and other dangers you should worry about. The difficulty should be no worry, so I find that this game's depth will be great.?
Sound:9.6
Some of the sounds are from classic Super Mario Bros games from the past years. There is lots of remixes of old Mario themes in this game, like the cavern theme. Some sounds are irritating, but it's good to get some good nostalgia going up in your mind. This is the first game where Mario and Luigi actually MAKE SOUNDS, but they do not speak. I think Nintendo thought it would be funny for the audience in the game, and it was!
Graphics:10
The graphics give some things that are from old Mario games. It's nice to see what this game has to offer. The artist did a great job on this game's characters and map design. The characters are well designed for an RPG, but do graphics really matter? Not really! It's all in the gameplay, but I just decided to describe the graphics for you. As you can see in the pictures, the graphics are just suspenders to look at.
Addictiveness:9.8
One thing that makes this game addicting is obviously the bean collecting mechanic, but we'll get to that later! This game has lots of fun minigames and locations, and areas that make the game really addicting to play around with. There's lots of cool features, like taking Mario and Luigi's passport pictures, fighting classing Mario enemies, and well designed bosses. What would have made the addictiveness more 10/10 worthy, would be a co-op option. It would make sense, for the fact that you're controlling two characters at the same time. Press the A button for Mario, and the B button for Luigi.
Overall:10
This game is a game I grew up playing. It was really fun to play with, and co-op or no co-op, this game will still be the sensation for any Retro gamer. I suggest you were to try the game out. If the FBI were to shut down this game from the RGR, that would be a BIG mistake. But this is one of the Retro games that you can still buy from a store! Anyway, all I have to say is that this game made me happy, and I beg you all farewell. Thanks so much for reading! Also don't forget to check this game out in the RGR
Anyway, this is it. BYE Let's start the review off with the story line!
