Today I will be making a review for Pokémon Gold, the other game of Pokémon Silver. This game is not much different then Pokémon silver, the only difference it that you can catch Ho-Oh is gold, and Lugia in Silver.  You can also catch Pokémon that are one game only. This is a good game that is pretty good.
Overall: 8.9
This is an OK game. It defiantly has it strong points but it does also have its weak points. The first thing I would like to talk about is the total feeling of the game. After I had my first time playing Pokémon red, blue, yellow, I played Pokémon Gold. Man, Gold was a wonder, it was a great game that had parts to it that were new for a Pokemon game. These things that were upgrades were the things that game this game such a great score. It is a game that was the first one to have color, except for the small amount of color in Pokémon Yellow. That was one of the things that made this such a great game. When you have a good amount of color in a game when it wasn't know to have color in the beginning, it sure does make it a whole lot better. The game is just another Pokémon game in the other facts of the game, it was a great game, like all other Pokémon games, but I would rank it up because of its change in game play.

Graphics: 7
The graphics for this game were good. They were JUST good, they were nothing great. It was just a tiny improvement in the graphics from the first Pokémon games, I think that the whole reason for this is that the people who made the game spent so much time coloring the game. It would have gotten a lower score if it did not have the color in it. The graphics were kind of behind for the time so it can't get a great score. That is why I game it a final score of a 7. Not bad, but not good. Lets move on.

Sound: 9
The sound is not just the music for this game, it is also the route themes and the Pokémon cries. The music for Pokémon battles was good. It was better then the music for the first Pokémon games, but it was not much better. Though the sound for the Pokémon battles are not much better, the sound for the Trainer battles, mostly Gym Leaders, are better. They took a huge jump from Gen 1 to gen 2. The Pokémon cries were also better. They just sounder so much better and the new cries sounded awesome! Overall, the sound for this game was better then the sound for the 1st pokemon game, a lot better, that is why it got a 9 for sound. Time to move on.

Addictiveness: 6
This game is the same as any other Pokémon game. Now, you would say that the game is not as addicting, but I am basing it off of how it was when the game came out. When the game came out, there had only been a few Pokémon games so a lot of people wanted to play this one, so they bought it and they did. Now, because it was so much better then the 1st gen games, the game players wanted to play it until they were perfect, so they could brag that they completed Pokémon Gold. The games Addictiveness factor rose because of the lack of Pokémon games before. This game was the same as any other Pokémon game, mostly, so it doesn't have anything extra then this to this category. This game was pretty Addictive so that is why it got a six, it is hard to score high in this with me. Time to move on.

Story: 10
  There is not much to say in this section other then the fact that it is mostly a normal pokemon game that has some extra features, you get to catch more Pokémon, team Rocket is going for the taking over of the world, and you need to defeat all the gym leaders, the elite 4, and the champion. But it is also a normal Pokémon game that has new cities with some strange backgrounds. You have to go exploring these cities to go find out the pasts of them and you have to correct some stuff, catch some new Pokémon and fill your Pokedex. Filling you Pokedex is a lot harder now that they have added a whole lot more Pokémon, that is what annoys me with the whole got to catch them all thing. Well, that is enough ranting so I will move on.

Depth: 10
As any other Pokémon game, there is a lot of things to do. First you have to complete the game. This will take you a lot of time to do because you will have to train all of your pokemon team/teams strong enough to defeat the elite four and the champion. That is just the start and about 1/50th of the game, there is a whole lot more. Now, remember how you have to train your Pokémon to level 100 in order to fully complete the game. You have to start with your level 5 starter that you have to train, it is easy at first but then it gets harder. Now you have to do this with over 200 Pokémon. That is not easy, it will take a LONG time. Just don't get frustrated.

Difficulty: 6
This game is not so hard. But it is SLIGHTLY hard. You are so used to the first Pokémon games which were a breeze, then you get this, and it get a lot harder at one big time. You then have to learn about all the new Pokémon and you will have to learn about the new Pokémon and all about the new regions!  I just have to say that this game is not easy. You don't just pick it up and do it in a day. it takes a whole lot of time. This game is not a too hard one, but is not an easy one, and that is why it gets a 6.

Overall, this is a great game. It was a big dare and a big step forward in the Pokémon game series. It is a great game that you should play if you have not before! I hoped you liked the review!
