With the E3 announcement of Need for Speed: Rivals, I've decided to play through all my old Need for Speed games. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit is one of my favorite games of all time and has some amazing depth and graphics. The only bad part about this game is it has no Split Screen function and to access features like Multiplayer, the Speedwall, and Snapshots is to sign in with a Xbox LIVE Gold Membership

Graphics
The graphics in this game are some of the best I have ever seen and in my opinion beat some of the PS4 and Xbox One graphics. The graphics are very smooth and there are multiple ways your car can break apart or scratch up. Although if you go through a tunnel with the Police Car's sirens flashing, it makes your eyes hurt.

Sound
When in a duel to the death with the cops, you're treated to some very tense symphonic music that fits well with the event. When not, you get songs from artists such as Chiddy Bang and Hadouken!.  You can also hear radio frequencies from the Police which is a recurring theme in the Hot Pursuit series.

Story
The story takes place in Seacrest County, which is popular in the illegal Street Racing Scene. It's so popular that it attracts some of the rarest and fastest cars in the world. To counter this, the SCPD (Seacrest County Police Department) has created the fastest Police Force in the World to stop street racers. That's about it storywise. It was really lacking in this department and could have used extra storyline like a character or two. If your going to add some kind of story you need to have at least a plot and not just random races.

Depth
This game has DAYS worth of Career Events. Plus the new feature of Bounty. Bounty is earned when you win or lose an event, kind of like DP in the Yu-Gi-Oh! games. When you earn enough Bounty, you unlock new cars and increase your Wanted Level. Your Wanted Level is basically how wanted you are by the SCPD. As you increase your Wanted Level up to 20, more events become available. The goal of Career Mode is to increase your Wanted Level to 20 and complete all events. The game also features a Police Career too. It basically works the same way as the Racer Career except instead of Wanted Level, it is now SCPD Cop Rank which tells you where you stand at the SCPD. The goal for this career is the same as the Racer Career. There is Autolog, which is a Facebook for NFS where you can post in-game screenshots for your friends to see. There is the Speedwall which shows the top time for Career Event between you and your friends. However, both the Autolog and Speedwall require Xbox LIVE Membership.

Difficulty
Some of the Events can be really difficult at times, but not so hard that it makes the game unplayable. It's the perfect amount of difficulty if someone was looking for something to play for a month or two.

Addictiveness
Overall, it's a very addictive game that I will play even after I beat the Career Modes. And then play over and over until I finally get sick of it and go play something different.
