Hey! Hydra is finally back! Now, before we start, I would have to say thanks for my Killer Instinct review making it featured. It really helped!
So now we should get to the review shall we?
For those who aren't familiar with the Terminator, it is an action/sci-fi movie staring Arnold Schwarzenegger which was very popular and got a sequel. Then there were games based on it and boy were most of them horrible. But there was one decent game based on the Terminator and one great arcade game based on The Terminator 2. Ladies and Gentlemen, trolls and attention desperates. This is The Terminator on SEGA CD.
For graphics, I'd give it a 5 out of ten because it looks like your average, 16-bit side-scrolling shooter. It looks kind of good but it doesn't look like a SEGA CD type. Then there's the cut-scenes. Now, movie-like graphics do look very rough on SEGA CD but this is probably the roughest looking. I usually can't see what is going on in the cut scenes (oh, and did I mention they were straight from the movie?).
Secondly, the sound's score is 9/10 because the music in game play is really kick-ass and it's the only Terminator game that uses the Terminator theme. Haaaaaaaaaa!
This game is pretty addictive so I'll give it an 8/10 because overall, it's very fun (for a movie game) and I love hearing the music plus you just want to beat the first level so I'll give the difficulty a 7/10 because let's face it, it's hard to beat. Usually I don't have time to get the level done plus I keep on getting game overs. Now on to the story which I'll give it a 6/10 which I'll guess the storyline's the same as the movie's story (plus I haven't seen the movie). The depth will be on to a 6/10 because like I said, it's like your average side scrolling shooter but you can do Jump N Shoot Man's shooting on ladders (When I said Jump N Shoot Man, I meant Mega Man) and you can throw grenades so that's a plus for the score.
So that'll be all the review for today and I'll be doing another review today so till tomorrow
