Yes, I agree. Simon's quest is a terrible game that shouldn't even have been a sequel to the classic Castlevania. The story of the game makes no sense either. Well, maybe it does because after you have defeated Dracula in the first game, all his bones spread throughout Transylvania, therefore being a sequel. At least that's what I get out of it. The games difficulty if very easy, but there are some very cryptic things. Like the one part when you are supposed to kneel up to a wall and a tornado is supposed to come and pick you up. The game is a total failure and it is easily looked over. Some people don't even consider it the sequel to Castlevania. That pretty much explains the bad ratings on this game.

I could see that story being the case if you ever actually did anything. You just jumped from level to level, faced a boss, and moved to the next level. There was no stopping to do anything after the bosses as I remember. I could be incorrect on that, but other then getting a new character I'm pretty sure its just boss-next level

I've heard a lot of people who have similar opinions to you. My brother is actually a Castlevania fan, and even though I wouldn't say that his opinions are as harsh as yours, there are points here that he would definitely agree with the gameplay.

You review should try to be more extensive in terms of your opinions. Much of the details has been focused on the gameplay, but you haven't really discussed much about the apparent design of the game. You mentioned that it looked terrible and the music is annoying. Is there a way that you can elaborate on that?

I disagree with a lot of the points you had with regards to this game. Sure there are a few annoyances, one being the terrible day/night transition and the other being that some of the castles really don't have a whole lot going on about them...

All that being said, I feel like your review was more inspired by what other online reviewers have said about the game, and less of your actual experiences playing the game.

I personally am a Castlevania fan. Although this one isn't my favorite of the original series, I do think that it has some redeeming qualities, and is certainly worth playing if you happen to be a Castlevania fan.

I like the fact that they tried to make it more of an RPG/adventure type game rather than a straight side scroller and the graphics and music are decent for their time.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion I just think that you let others opinions cloud your review a little too much.

Also, in the future, it would be preferable if you put more detail into your review. Go a little more in-depth and give the readers the feeling like you really played through a decent amount of the game before being so harsh on it.
