Ugh, I don't really know why I am reviewing this game in the first place, it appears that this will be the first time I review a game I don't like, it may not be the last time I review a game I don't like but, you get the point, this game is just...awful, it's definitely one of the worst games I've played in my life......a video game magazine once said: ''introducing a new concept for an already existing series isn't always a good idea, and Mega Man has proven us that this is true'' and wow, that is completely true, when Mega Man Battle Network was released, Capcom introduced a new concept to the series, the concept is a bit similar to RPG games but you don't really fight enemies per turn, the Battle Network games are fun, they may not be the best Mega Man games but they are still enjoyable but this game...is very different...at least...in terms of fun...
Story: Unlike most Mega Man games, this game has multiple stories, and none of them are good, before ''playing'' the game, you get to choose between six (twelve?) different characters, we can take Mayl and Roll.exe as an example, you actually choose a duo for each story but the truth is that you only use the Netnavi you choose to ''play'', all of the stories are a bit similar and very bad, I know I can keep talking about this but let's just say: all of the stories SUCK.
Graphics: Graphically the game is average, the animations aren't impressive either, it should be noted that this game looks exactly like the Battle Network games, so, don't expect a lot of colorful objects.
Depth: Completing the library of cards that you can use during a battle takes some time, other than that however, you don't really have much to do, you just enter some tournaments over and over again to get cards for the library and, if you manage to win, get money, those are ALL the things that this game offers.
Gameplay: Can we really call this a video game? something that is supposed to entertain you when you finish your homework, get bored and other things? I don't think so, the gameplay of this game is AWFUL, the gameplay of this game consist on putting some cards inside some kind of deck to use them during a battle, in fact, wining a battle depends more on luck rather than skill, why? because the cards you use during a turn (yes, this game is turn-based) are chosen at RANDOM, also, you don't really INTERACT in NONE of the battles in the game, every time the order of cards is chosen, you just press the a button to skip the text messages, which are a bit slow, you can use one of the buttons (the b button if I'm right) to skip the whole battle, but once you do that, you don't really need to do anything else, just WAIT until the battle ends, the only entertaining thing about the gameplay is the fact that the battles are more animated than the old Final Fantasy games, the characters actually show some movement, still, you will get bored quickly by just watching them fight.
Difficulty: All of the battles in the game can be easy or hard, winning one depends more on luck rather than skill, some Netnavis have strong attacks and cards but even if you lose, you won't lose a lot of times, the difficulty doesn't really change, it actually depends on luck and what cards you have after all.
Addictiveness: Stay away from this game, you will hardly play it for more than half-an-hour, this game is not addictive, really...
Sound: The best part of the game is the music, if you've played the Battle Network games, you will quickly notice that this game has a different sound font that differs from the other games, and that's probably what makes it good, the fact that it sounds unique, the effect sounds are...well, average.
This game SUCKS and nobody should play it, it's the worst Mega Man game ever, in my opinion, EVEN Mega Man X6 and Mega Man X7 are better games...they are WAY more enjoyable than this.
