Which N64 emulator is the best for Netplay? Does anyone know?

Currently the site uses 1964 for netplay using kaillera but we have a lot of issues where the users playing become out of sync. I was thinking of maybe using a different N64 emulator.

I was also thinking about maybe using Project64. 2.0 recently released and it's open source so I thought it'd be worth getting that added to the next plugin release. I know that Project64 is considered the best N64 emulator so that'll solve a lot of problems with some N64 games not playing properly. If Project64 supports better netplay (with an addon), than it'd be worth getting it added for that reason as well.

Do you by any chance know the reason why the games are getting desynced?

Project64 is a good one but if you want to use netplay then the version to have would be Project64k which just got updated.
I never really bothered with Nintendo 64 much as far as emulation goes since I've had access to the actual games themselves but I was impressed with Project64 during emulation testing.

I can't speak for the Mac, Linux, and any other non-window versions but the Windows version of mupen64plus, I wasn't all too impressed since it's console-ran rather than GUI and there is no menu system or netplay option. Mupen64k however is GUI-ran and does have netplay.
I'll check out mupen64++ since I see someone using that on the server.

checked it out and basically it's ok. Didn't see much mupen64 traffic, only seen pj64k using an older version.

Davideo7 : I just want to say that for me at least, that wouldn't be a good idea. For some reason, since the last plugin update made the mupen64plus emulator crash every time I started it up. That's all I got on the subject, but I just want to get that out there.
